Zayn sighed as he threw the ball at the wall, and it bounced back to him. To say that he was bored out of his mind was understandable, but there was also the fact that he was really annoyed with himself. He couldn’t stop thinking about the way Jade’s brother – Harry- had insulted him.

Usually he would pretend he didn’t care but right now he had the words Harry said echoing in his head. He thought that just maybe because he had nothing better to do, he was thinking about it. It had almost been a week, and the times he thought about the insults was when he was bored or didn’t have anything to do.

He sometimes hated the fact that he didn’t have any close friends, who he could hang out with. He was bored, especially on weekends when he did nothing but watch movies and sketch the whole damn day.

After three hours of sitting on the sofa and watching TV as well as playing with that damn ball, he decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. He needed a bit of physical activity after all.

He put on a hoodie and a jacket over it, covering his not styled hair with a beanie. As soon as he stepped on the cool air, wind started hitting him right on the face and he pulled the hood of his coat over the beanie, hugging the coat close to his body like most people were doing.

His breath was fogging in front of his face as he breathed out. He watched cars pass by on the street as he walks slowly along the side walk. He doesn’t know anyone. Even though he has been living iLondonfor two years, he only knew people from school.

His eyes scanned over every person that walked past him on the street. It looked like nobody was enjoying the cold weather, mostly because it was a dry cold day with a lot of winds. If it would have snowed, it would have been better.

Once he started walking, he couldn’t seem to stop and return home. He missed going out for walks. He should do it more often, but he just doesn’t want to feel lonely. When he’s alone at home, he drowns it out with something else, but when he’s out and there are people all around him, walking with their beloved ones, he felt lonely.

He wished he had just one friend that wouldn’t annoy him all the time, like most people did. Someone he could talk to, and go clubbing with. Someone to trust!

Sometime while walking, he reached a small café, which looked pretty warm and cozy, so Zayn without thinking started walking towards it, hoping to get a nice cup of tea.

The bells over his head ringed when he opened the door, signaling that someone came in. It was so ancient, but it somehow made the place more welcoming. This place was nothing like the places Zayn usually went to. It had a fireplace on a corner and it wasn’t really big. It had only about small 12 tables and most of them were occupied with students burying their heads on books, laptops or old people enjoying a cup of coffee together.

He smiled as he walked towards the counter and his eyes met a familiar face. He didn’t think he would see him again, but this was a pleasant surprise.

“Liam?” Zayn asked when he stood right in front of the counter. He rested his forearms on top of it and leaned forward, smiling at the younger boy.
