"Sivanna? Where do you want the plates?" I asked, calling out, my voice strained under the heavy box, that was partly resting on my lap.
"Any where for now honey. Ah...maybe in the bottom cupboard furthest from from the sink?"
carefully I wheeled myself, steady around on the shiny white tiles. As I skated around, I watched myself in their clear reflection. I Quickly grabbed the box, before it fell from my weak knees, and swore slightly as I imagined the sound of breaking glass, smashing out on the White tiles, scrambling under any shelter it could.
Breaking glass....scrambling.....swearing......

I Didn't hear what she said. 'Rotten child' sounded slightly like what came out of her drunk mouth, words slurring into one long line of unrecognisable letters. I couldn't be sure.
As she stumbled toward me, I tried shifting back. I didn't want to smell the cheap beer that scented off her breath or the cigarette smell that stuck and soaked in to her clothes. Back, I moved, keeping my eyes on her, sliding on my bum, and using my hands and feet to shuffle backwards. Crunch. Pain burst into my palms as I felt the shards of broken alcohol bottles penetrate my skin. I felt the blood leaking form the sliced cuts, as they numbed and throbbed. My eyes automatically watered, no Matter how hard I willed them to stay back. I knew it was bad, but I couldn't check. She was watching me, tipsy, but still watching, and any second I took my eyes of hers, she'd strike. She'd take any opportunity she could get. In the corner of my tearing eye I could see the Crimson paint that came from my pale skin. Dark red bleeding from a pale white canvas. Her eyes darted to the red soaked carpet, as I waited for a bad reaction. I'm sure she'd love to jump in, and add to the party. Add to my blood loss. But She only smiled. A horror spread a cross her face as murder displayed it's self in her eyes. She swayed, unable to contain a normal balance, due to the poison that pumped through her veins, messing with her head. She was getting worse. Taking more of things she wasn't supposed too. 2 years since dad died, I felt scared, alone, abandoned, hidden. The blood that leaked from my hands twisted in the memory, painting the night a dark, deep red.

"Audrey?" The voice of my worried mother, The real one, reached deep into my flash back, and grabbed the back of my t shirt, yanking me form a nightmare and surfacing me back to reality.
"Hey! Audrey!?" She wailed, quickening her pace to reach me. She placed a cool hand once again on my forehead, where under the skin I saw the blood night burnt forever into my skull. Carved there. Waiting, for whenever I closed my eyes. It was there, so clear....so real.......DONT
I reminded myself. I wasn't going to let my consciousness slip into the hands of a lady who was someone of the past.
"Audrey!!"
"I-I'm fine." I chocked out. "Just a...thought."
Sighing deeply, she let her hand fall down heavily, slapping against her thigh.
"You can't do that Audrey. Please don't. I'm new to this, and I don't know what to do when you zone out. I don't know you well enough yet"
I nodded, more out of politeness than promise. I could try, but ever since the chain had been disintegrated, things were coming back. Often. All the time. Every day. More then twice a night.
She stood up, straightened her stance, and leaned into her hip.
"You like music?" She asked, but when I didn't answer, she just ignored it, carrying on.
"Well, I think we need some music!" She sung, trying to lighten the mood and bring me fully back to present time. Easier said then done.
