"Oh, Oh-oh my god!" Cried Karli.
"Y-your doing it!! Your doing it!"

I stood shakily, ready to project my arms in any direction, to catch my self on something. My legs felt disorientated as my body weight balanced atop them.

"You're amazing! Look at you!"

She squealed, dancing around my body that stood alone, supporting its own weight.

"Two more steps and you're there!! Yes, yes!!"

One more foot and my toes passed the yellow tape.

"You did it!! You just walked 6 meters! Holy cow!"

"D-did I really!?"

I asked stumbling, too scared to turn my head behind me.

"Yes! You did!"

"What's going on in here?"

Dale my other rehab helper, asked curiously, pushing his way into the room.

"She's walking!!" Shouted Karli.

"Well, look at you!" He said, crossing his arms, resting the clip board in his hand against his side.

"I-I wow." I slurred, dizzying myself, feeling my head spin.

Karli was at my side in a blink, arms under my pits.

"It's all good. I got you, I got you."

Carefully, dale and Karli rested me back down onto the side bench.

No wheel chair!

Thank god for that. It was about freaking time.

"You really are amazing!" Hummed Dale, clicking his tongue as he walked around, looking for a pen he didn't have.

"Heck yeah! You know what this means?" Karli asked amused.

"Ah....." I wasn't sure at all.

"That you can walk with crutches! Your spine has built up enough strength that it's almost back to normal. Yes, you do have quite a limp, but as you improve even more, that will become less and less noticeable. So, you're ready to go back to school!"

"C-crutches?" I asked horrified.

Crutches? Oh-no.

Oh god no.
