I sat with my knees hugged to my chest, and my chin bowed down atop them, biting my tongue.

His words wouldn't skin in. Not for a while. For a very long while. But still, that didn't dilute my need for him. In fact it made it stronger.

"I-I should go"

He whispered, braking the long silence that both of us had to endure.
I snapped my head up quickly, revealing my expression to the boy -although could I even call him that?- who sat nervously with his elbows on his knees and his hands under his chin.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting him to be there when I looked up. I thought he would vanish, or cease to exist.

"No. P-please don't."

I pleaded, although my argument wasn't as strong as it had been. I felt his eyes study me and my shaking frame before standing up and walking to the door.

"no. Please stay"

I begged, releasing my knees and placing my feet on the cold carpet.
I stared into his pale eyes, as I tried to understand what he had said. I just couldn't bring myself to comprehend.
He turned again, and reached for the door knob, as I reached for his arm.

"I don't want you to go"

I whispered, hugging his fore arm to my chest. "Please. Stay"

He inhaled deeply and closed his eyes firmly.

"Audrey-"

"Just stay" I begged.

His sigh echoed around the room and bought out the serenity of wind out side and the trees that swayed.
Tugging his arm free, he pulled the door open and revelled the dead night to the well light room. Cold air piled in and mystified, cooling the room enough to shiver.

"Please!"

I shouted as he started down the path. He turned swiftly to hear me out. Or maybe to stop me from screaming awake the neighbour hood. Either way, I wasn't letting him go any further.

"Audrey, you don't know how much I want to stay." He reasoned. "You, stand out, among hundreds of thousands of people I've met. You aren't the first person who's kept me up at night, thinking about you, but you're the first living one. That i've liked in that way. That's a big thing for something like me I-"

He cut off, shaking his head, causing his blonde hair to ruffle in the on coming wind. "But I can't stay. It's bad for you."

He closed his eyes and swallowed.
