Mya's POV

Linc wore his cut with a black t-shirt underneath and ripped jeans. I wore a black leather jacket with a red tank top underneath. My pants were black leggings, and my knee-high boots were red with two-inch heels.

Linc pursed his lips at my outfit. "This is a bad idea," he said.

I gazed over our outfits again and then shrugged. "Why?"

"I'm going to spend the entire night getting into fights," he said and scoffed.

I threw my head back and laughed.

He grabbed my chin between his finger and thumb, cutting my laughter short, and kissing me. "It's not funny. You're the sexiest thing I've ever laid eyes on."

"You're biased," I told him and shoved past him. "Hurry up or I'm driving." That got him to move pretty quickly. He snatched my keys from me.

We picked the most popular nightclub in Long Beach. On the way to the club, I was texting with Kelly.

"They got a VIP section," I said.

Linc nodded. "Cool."

"You really didn't want to go out, did you?"

He shrugged. "I don't mind. I suppose that with everything going on, I feel a little guilty about going out."

"That's exactly why we need to go out, baby," I said softly.

His eyes flickered to mine. He took a deep breath and nodded. "You're right. That's why I didn't argue about it. I'm just worried about leaving the kids alone, too."

I stretched over the center console and pecked him on the lips. "I'm not going to lie, I am too, but you know Dad will keep them safe."

"I know, lover," he murmured and turned to me to kiss me again. "Now stop distracting me, or we're going to crash."

I chuckled and behaved myself the rest of the way to the club.

Bryant sat in a chair with Kelly in his lap, but they weren't alone. All of the MC members were in the VIP section. Linc's cousins, Jarrod and Jake, were sitting on the couch with Jake's girlfriend, Sam, in between them. My cousin David and his wife, Taylor, were on the same couch. Teigan and his wife, Allison, were on a separate couch with Eric, Anthony, and Daryl. Eric, Anthony, and Daryl hadn't been patched in until the others retired. Eric and Anthony were both single, along with Linc's cousin Jarrod. Daryl's girlfriend, Sarah, was sitting on his lap.

Linc pulled me to the chair beside Bryant and Kelly, the only area left open. I sat on Linc's lap, facing Kelly and Bryant's direction, to talk to Kelly.

"How is Raylynn doing?" I asked. Raylynn was their daughter; she had been sick too, but she was younger than Lilly. Raylynn was only two years old.

"She's doing a lot better. To be honest, if she hadn't been, there's no way I would've come out. That fever was absolutely ridiculous. I had to keep ice on her the first twenty-four hours," she explained.

"Have you found a new job yet?" Kelly asked.

Linc and Bryant had been having some conversation I hadn't heard, but they both fell silent when they heard Kelly's question.

"Not yet. I haven't even really tried," I said and grimaced. "I was thinking about working in Lakewood. It's not too far of a drive."

"You're not going anywhere for now," Linc said firmly.

I glanced down at him with my eyebrows raised. "What?"

"You heard me," he said. "Until all of this shit with Damen is for sure cleared up, you're staying in Long Beach. I'm not going to have you traveling that damn far."
