Chapter 4: They're not flirting with me!"Bree and John," Kate calls off, reading from a paper.
I look across the room, to where a man around twenty-five is looking up. He gives me a grin that I return.
"You guys will be performing Burn by Ellie Goulding and Thnks Fr Th Mmrs by Fall Out Boy."
Okay, I can work with that.
"Sophie and Carter, you will be performing Dream by Cro and You Found Me by The Fray."
I look over to Sophie and give her an excited smile.
Kate calls out the rest of the names, pairing them with songs.
"So here are your schedules, be five minutes early, and if your late, well let's just say it won't do you any good."
The schedules are handed around, and I take mine. I have practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for three weeks before we're due to perform.
I take a deep breath and slowly let it out. I'm going to give it my all. Three weeks to perfect two songs is a short period of time, and I want this more than anything.
"So tomorrow will be the first practices, times are on the paper, and your names will be next to them. Does anyone have any questions?"
I shake my head, and there is silence.
"One more thing, there will be a party celebrating be all of you on your great jobs on making it to the next round. There will be an e-mail sent out with more details, but I'm just letting you know now. Y'all are free to go, now," she said with a smile.
I take my paper, and meet up with Sophie.
"Hey. Bree?" An unfamiliar voice called out.
I turned around to see John.
"Hello," I greeted, politely.
"Just wanted to say good luck," he said smiling.
"Thanks, you too. I'll see you at practice." I say, smiling. "Bye."
I turn back around and head off with Sophie. We exit and head back to the stage.
"You wanna get some drinks or something before we leave?" Sophie asks.
"Sure."
We head over to the lounge and go to the fridge. They have a huge variety of sodas and drinks, and I grab a Snapple, Sophie taking a diet Coke.
"Oh, hey Bree!" Another voice calls. I turn to see Jake heading over, a smile on his face.
"Hey," I greet, when he's closer.
"I wanted to know what your schedule was so we could work out the studio date, so you could come along sometime," he says, grinning.
"Sure," I say, handing over my schedule.
He takes a look and nods.
"How about Friday? I'll pick you up at ten and then we can head over and you can meet the band?"
"Okay, I'd love too," I say, a huge smile on my face.
I'm going to meet Heart Thieves!
Such a fangirl moment.
"Great, see you then," he said flashing a smile before heading off.
My excitement was bubbling over and I felt like screaming.
