Chapter 2: Pre-k Best Friends"So I just go in and get my makeup work, and then tomorrow I can go and move in to my apartment?" I ask, crossing my arms.
"Yes," my aunt answered.
I sighed. "Okay."
I grabbed my backpack and keys and then headed to my car, Cameron already waiting.
"Ready for your last day?"Cameron asked.
"Yup, pretty much."
It's been a month since the blind auditions, and it's time to move to LA to focus on the competition. I still have to make up my school work though. I'm pretty sure I'm the only competitor with this problem.
We got in the car and headed to school. I pulled into the parking lot, and as soon as I got out I was bombarded by people asking me questions.
Ever since the episode aired and everyone saw my performance, all of a sudden the attention was on me, and I didn't really like it.
I ignored them and headed over to my usual table, meeting up with my friends. It was going to be a long day.

"I still can't believe this!" Cindy, one of my best friends said, throwing her arms around me.
I laughed, squeezing her back. "I know, it's so surreal!"
"Promise to call everyday and tell me every detail?!" She asked, giving me a look.
"Yes, mother," I said laughing. I felt a small swell of pain at the mention of the word, but I have to live my life.
"I don't wanna miss out! You're going to Hollywood, and we're stuck here in high school!" She exclaimed, gesturing to our group.
I sighed. "I know. This isn't easy for me either!"
"I didn't say that. But I'm so, so happy for you!" Cindy said. "You're mom would be so proud," she whispered, giving me a knowing smile.
Cindy and I have been best friends since pre-k, and my mom was like a second mother for her. And her mom was like my second mother. We've always been close, and she is one of the only people who know about my mom.
I gave a sad smile. "I know," I said nodding.
"I'll come visit you as much as possible!"
"You're only two hours away!" I said, laughing.
"Doesn't mean I won't visit!" She sang. "I'll bring Cammy up, too."
"Okay, okay."
"Hey! Bree!" An all to familiar voice shouted.
Cindy already had a scowl on her face, and I knew who it was.
I turned on my heel, my dark red hair whipping behind me, and hitting David in the face. He was closer than I thought...
"Yes?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"Can I talk to you? Alone?"He asked, scratching his neck.
I sighed and looked to Cindy, who gave me a questioning look. I nodded and she sighed, glaring at David, and heading across the courtyard to some other friends.
"What?" I asked.
"Before you leave, I needed to tell you that what happened was an accident,-"
I waved my hand. "Sorry? Sleeping not with one, not even two, but three girls is not an accident!" I shouted, flushing with anger.
"Ree, hear me out," he begged, giving me a pleading look.
I glared at him, but let him continue.
"They meant absolutely nothing to me. I was drunk–,"
I opened my mouth to retort, but he quickly continued.
"And that is not an excuse for what I did, but I swear I don't care about anybody as much as I care about you," he said.
I rolled my eyes. "Then why did you do it," I spat.
He looked at me with big eyes, and I looked away, biting the inside of my cheeks to stop from taking him back.
"Ree,-"
"DON'T CALL ME THAT!"
He took a step back, and almost everyone was staring at us at this point. I inwardly groaned. I didn't want their attention.
"Bree, I was stupid and I should have thought it through, but you know how Lindsey gets,-"
I flare with anger. "Don't you dare blame this on them!" I shout, grabbing a Coke bottle from a guy passing by. It was still full, having him just crack it open. I toss it all at David, ruining his expensive looking outfit.
That definitely felt better.
"Go bang one of your toys!" I spat, before storming off to my friends.
"I won't stop fighting for you!" He shouted behind me, his voice filled with pain. I'm not sure if it's from his face or from me leaving him.
I head over to my friends, all of their mouths hanging open. "So what were we talking about?"
A/N: So hope you enjoyed chapter two of my new book! If you enjoyed, vote and comment, because it's very appreciated.
There was some drama, but I feel like this is a bit more filler-ish. It'll start picking up, promise ;)
So what did you guys think about Cindy? What about David? Do you like him? (Probably not, I know I wouldn't like it if my boyfriend cheated on me)
Teaser: Bree settles down in here apartment and makes some new friend :)
I'll update again, maybe tomorrow or the day after that or after that. We'll see
See you in the next chapter,
