How Did We End Up Here?

Chapter 18

( Daniel's POV )

"Where do you boys think you're going?" Someone asked behind us making me and Jake stop and turn around. Michael, Calum, Luke and Ashton stood a couple feet away looking at us expectantly. When did them two get back? better yet where were they?

"When did you two get back?" I asked looking between Calum and Ashton. They both looked at each other before looking back at me and spoke up " We asked you a question first." they said making me roll my eyes

Jake scoffed "What are we five?" he asked putting on his shoes " We're going out for breakfast."

"It's either we go with you or you both aren't going anywhere." Calum said sternly looking between us both

"Fine." Jake says making me look at him with confusion

"Fine?" i asked glaring "What do you mean'fine'" I question he just looks at me with a knowing look

"Fine as in Okay, alright?" he said turning around walking toward the stairs. I follow soon after but get stoped

"Look, we're sorry but you and your brother can't go out there without some type of super vision, It's not safe." Ashton said stopping me in my tracks

"What is so unsafe all of a sudden that we can't get out of this place?!? And if we do decide to go somewhere we have to have our-" I stopped yelling mid sentence before I hurt anyone's feelings "You know what whatever." I mumbled running up the stairs into Jake's room and shutting the door and locking it "Jake what the hell-whoa what are you doing?" I asked anger disappearing

"Shhh." he whispered opening the window slowly so it wouldn't make too much noise. I stood up and approached next to him " What are you doing?" I asked confused

Once he opened it all the way he jumped up holding his weight with his arms and swung one leg through the window then the other "We're sneaking out." he replied in a duh tone

"Are you Fucking crazy? we'll get caught!" I whispered back

"Stop being such a baby and come on!" he said gesturing for me to climb up

I sighed jumping up and doing the same thing he did a few moments before. After successfully getting on the roof he started walking slowly to the side of the house me following in tow. I accidentally slipped but thankfully my brother caught me before i fell completely. That was a close one

"Daniel be careful,"he said nudging me " they'll hear." Jake said indicating to the guy's

"Oh im sorry, I can't help the fact that this Fucking roof is slippery! and quit hitting me!" i said crossing my arms once he jumped down to the ground landing on his hands and feet swiftly standing back up. Being vampire hunters and all, you learn how to do things like this.

He rolled his eyes and looked up at me " I didn't hit you, i nudged you, two different things," he stated looking around and looking back up at me "Now are you done having a tantrum? Im ready to go." he said waving his hands for me to come down. I rolled my eyes and jumped down landing with a thud. "All this climbing and jumping is tiring." I mumbled to which Jake just chuckled starting to run the opposite direction leaving me to jogg after him

"He did what?!?" I asked spitting my drink out a little giggling afterwards. Yes giggled

"I swear! and then he left when he was finished. Anyway that's why it was so awkward the next morning," he said laughing a little but then he turned serious "What about you?"

"What do you mean?" i asked

"You know exactly what i mean dani," he teased smirking " what happened yesterday with Luke?" he asked wiggling his eyebrows making me blush and throw a French frie at his face

"We just made out, that's it." I said shrugging to which he groaned and sat up

"Details Daniel! details!" he yelled causing the waitresses behind the counter to give us weird looks. he mumbled a 'sorry' and focused his attention back to me " You gotta give me more details dani. Did he try to fuck you on the counter? did he do something sexy?" he asked eagerly

"No! he did not try to fuck me on the counter and yeah." I mumbled the last part quietly

"Yeah what?"

I looked down at the table blushing "He started whispering to me that I liked him holding me and he started kissing my neck-

"Oh you love that shit," he squealed making me roll my eyes and laugh "Im sorry continue." 

"Anyway yeah, he started kissing down my neck and he lifted me up and i couldn't take it. I kissed him and we made out for a little bit, but when i realized it i stopped it." I said taking a sip of my water

"Can I ask you a different question now?" he asked. I nodded my head "Why the Fuck did you stop him!?" he whispers/yells

I frowned at him "Because they're  dicks." I say pouting Jake just laughed and nodded. A few minutes later his phone starts buzzing signaling he has a message, he pulls his phone out and glances at the screen before huffing and putting it back in his pocket

"Ashton?" I question eating another french frie

"Yeah," he says as he gets annoyed by his phone buzzing again but this time a call  "He can't get a hint!" he yelled turning his phone off

"I think they're hiding something from us," i said out of nowhere and jake gave me a look" they stopped me from going upstairs earlier saying it wasn't'safe'to leave by ourselves." I explained

"They're probably just talking about rapists or some shit. Or maybe they don't want us to leave at all and keep us hostage. Whatever it is they need to stop we can take care of ourselves, we're not children  Daniel."

"I know, I'm just curious as to what it is they're keeping from us." I said snapping out of my curiosity when my phone starts to ring

"Who is it?"

"Luke" I say putting my phone on the table "Do you think they know we're gone?" I asked once my phone stopped ringing

"I don't know but it's starting to get on my damn nerves" he grumbled standing up "Come on let's get out of here." he said pulling out a 20 dollar bill and placing it on the table. I stand up and we head towards the exit, my phone starts ringing again and Jake groans "Just answer it." he mumbled holding open the door. I pulled out my phone and accepted the call

"Hello?"

"Daniel? Where are you?!?" he asked worried

"In Jake's room." I replied casually

"No seriously! where are you both!? you can't be out there by yourselves  with them out looking for you!" he yelled confusion me "We're coming to get you, where are you?" he asked I can hear rustling in the background 

"Who's looking for us Luke?" I asked starting to panic

"Daniel listen to me-" is the last thing I hear on the phone before my brother shouted my name

I turn around to help but then see a tall figure smirking before hitting me in the face making me fly across the side walk and hit my head on something hard
