Chapter 8

(Daniel's POV)

I awoken to the smell of bacon and possibly something else lingering in the air making my stomach grumble at the loss of food in there, me realizing this I got out of bed and stretched following the sweet smell of breakfast. I was always a fan of food, anyone I know would know this, you don't know me well enough if not. Opening my door I stepped out walking over to the stairs hearing the sound of glass being dropped and a stream of cuss words being mumbled loud enough for me to hear. Chuckling I walked down the steps and made my way toward the kitchen seeing Ashton picking up a broken bowl with what i'm assuming is pancake mix splattered on the floor. I leaned on the wall watching with amusement trying not to laugh.

"Good morning Daniel. " he murmured not looking at me

"Good morning clumsy" I smirked "how'd you know it was me anyway.?"

he looked at me with a knowing look then continued cleaning up the mess

"Oh yeah, forgot you were a blood sucker for a second." I commented

"Please don't call me that, I feel like you're referring to me as some kind of a monster which im not." he said with a frown " at least I don't think I am."

I put my hands up in defeat " Sorry sorry, I didn't mean to offend you in anyway."

"It's ok you didn't know." he replied

We both fell into silence for awhile until i spoke up seeing the bacon on the stove burning

"Um, you should like... get that." I pointed to the oven with the now black bacon on it

"Shit." he whispers running toward the stove grabbing the pan that caught fire taking it outside through the side door throwing it on the ground.

Rolling my eyes I grabbed a cup filling it up with water and taking it outside throwing it on the fire that he threw on the grass which also caught fire. We watched as the fire died down then looked at each other and started laughing, me clutching my stomach as tears came down my eyes.

"Tha-that was stupid, whyd you do that you idiot." I asked when my laughter calmed down

"Well what was i supposed to do? if i put it in the sink it would've created more smoke and the fire alarm would go off waking Jake " he quickly defended chuckling a bit

"Still, you don't throw fire on grass unless you want even more fire."

"True" he shrugged "I forgot how it was to cook, it's been years since I've done it. I guess im gonna have to get used to it again, you know with you and your brother here and all."

"Thanks but me and Jake can cook for ourselves, you don't need to do that."

"Psst trust me I insist I really don't mind, you guys are gonna be spoiled so get used to it, plus us vampires don't sleep so we're up before you anyway ." he said walking back to the kitchen with me following

"Im gonna help you since you know...you burnt the bacon and dropped the pancake mix already." I laughed grabbing another bowl pouring the mix in it

"Hey it's not funny, at least I have an excuse." he grumbled hitting my shoulder

"Yeah yeah." I smirked

We continued cooking with me telling him what to do and what not and listening to music on my phone. I was flipping the pancakes while he watched the bacon intently to 'make sure it doesn't burn' making me laugh. I guess these guys won't be so bad after all..well I hope they won't be, lord knows how the rest can be. Mikey seems like a rapist, Luke acts mature so is Ashton and Calum is touchey but kinda cool, I guess they're all pretty normal besides the flirting, winking and the touching but I think that's expected when you have sexy mates like me and Jake. I mean I would wanna touch me too Just saying, but the only problem is im not gay and neither is Jake. I don't know maybe they'll understand. Now that I think about it I don't hear them at al-

I was cut out of my thoughts when the front door opened and I'm guessing the the rest of the guys came in talking about something

There they are

"IN HERE GUYS." Ashton yelled to them

"Hello cutie." I hear Luke say then wraps his arms around my waist

I take that back they're all touchey

"Hi"I replied removing his arms from around me

"Where's Jake?" Mikey asked when I turned around carrying the plates of pancakes to the table and setting it down

"Sleeping" I answered turning around" im gonna go get him up since breakfast is ready."

(Jake's POV)

I woke up to dani shaking me telling me something about food being ready and to get up

"Jake get up its time for breakfast."

I only grunted and pulled the covers over my head trying to go back to sleep but he pulled it off and opened the curtain letting in the light

"Ugh go away"

"No can do, come on the food's gonna get cold." he whined pulling me out of bed by my arms

"Alright alright." I grumbled walking towards the door tiredly

Once we were downstairs we walked to the kitchen seeing the guys already there. I suddenly regret not putting on a shirt because Ashton and Michael were staring at me like a piece of meat. Mikey then looked me in the eyes and smirked making me remember last night which caused me to blush tomato red and look away.

" Good morning cupcake, I hope you slept well." he said then winked at me

"I-i slept fine thanks" I replied taking the last seat which was between Ashton and Calum

"I sure hope so." he said with a hint of amusement in his voice

"Well ok" Luke said looking between me and Michael suspiciously "You guys should eat now, we're taking you out for air later."

"You're not gonna eat? there's plenty." Daniel asked

"Nah, human food isn't the best once you've a vampire." Calum answered

"Oh, alright."

Me and dani picked up our forks and started eating. I was half way done with the food I was chewing when I felt a hand rub up and down my thigh getting closer and closer to my private area. I looked at Ashton and he gave me an innocent smile as if he's not touching me under neath the table. I slapped his hand away and continued eating but I guess it doesn't come that easy as I felt him grab me and start palming me through my boxers making me nearly choke.

"Are you ok Jake?" Ashton asked

"Ye-yeah just a little sleepy I guess."

"Ok." he smirked and started rubbing faster making my breath hich.

I almost let out a moan but my brother spoke up.

"I-im finished." he announced getting up quickly

"Um yeah me too." I replied removing his hand again and shooting off my seat rushing to the sink

"Ok well you guys should go get ready, we'll be outside." Calum said winking in Daniel's direction making him blush

"Im assuming I wasn't the only one getting touched under the table." I mumbled when the guys left the kitchen

" Yeah kinda" he replied looking at me then he looked at my neck "who the hell gave you that love bite?"

"Umm we should get dressed. " I said then ran up to my room leaving Daniel to shout that "this conversation isn't over. "
