Erin's POV
I woke the next morning at 6 am and continued working on the car. I spent most of the morning repairing the sticking gear shift and by the time I finished the car crew was coming in to replace the engine so while we waited on it we took the engine out. Derek came out to help us a little bit as well but he had work to finish so he went back inside. About an hour after he left a truck pulled in the drive way.
"Package for Derek Silverstone." the man told me once he stepped out of the truck. He was a scrawny little thing and had a lot off hair but didn't look much older than his early twenties.
"Can you go in and get him Darrel?" I asked.
"Sure." He answered and went into the house. I turned back to the delivery man and say he was checking me out.
"So what's your name?" the man, which I could now see was named Taylor from his UPS badge, asked me when he noticed I was looking back at him.
"No one you'll get to know." I answered him back.
"Well maybe we could change that, what do you say, huh?" he asked with the most hideous grin I have ever seen.
"I say, I'll break you like a twig." I smarted off. I heard a couple chuckles behind me which I knew were from the crew.
"Oh feisty, me like." He replied stepping forward.
"I'm warning you I will literally break you." I warned him.
"She's serious; now, if I were you I would back off." Danny warned as well.
"She wouldn't hurt a fly." He said stepping even closer to me.
"Let's prove that theory then." I said about to lounge at him until an arm was wrapped around my waist prevented me from choking this man out.
"Didn't you have a package that I needed to sign for?" Mr. Silverstone asked with his arm still wrapped tightly around me.
"Yeah, here you go." He said handing Derek the forms but not without a scowl on his face.
"Thank you, now please unload my package and get off my property." He said in a deadly calm voice.
"Yes, sir." He said quickly and rushed to the truck.
"And you, Erin, stay clear of that man. Do you hear me?" he said in a no non-sense tone.
"Fine." I agreed and walked back to the car.
The rest of the crew helped unload the engine while I waited by the car while Derek supervised and as soon as they had it off the truck the man took off. Derek turned toward me gave me a blank stare than walked back into the house.
"What's up with him?" Katy asked.
"I don't know but I thought he was going to rip someone head off the way he was looking at you two." Scott pointed toward me and the empty parking lot.
"He didn't look like that." I defended.
"Oh yeah, so when he came up behind you and got all protective, what did you think that was all about." Darrel continued to pester me.
"Okay, I get it!" I snapped at them. "Maybe he does have something for me, but it isn't reciprocated in any way, trust me." I pointed out.
"Sure." They all said in unison. I rolled my eyes and continued putting in the engine.
Throughout the rest of the week we made our plans on how to detour the car that contained Jacob Silverstone and repairing the car as well as purchasing two other cars that but they were the 2014 corvette stingray.
