“How many times do I have to tell you? I am not going to sleep with James. We are going to have dinner and go our separate ways.” I said to Lyndsay trying to keep my voice down.

“Well then, when you two are done playing little games, call me. I’ll know how to lay it down on him that he will never want to speak to another woman except me again.” She stated proudly.

“That’s fine with me. Can we go now I want to get to the bar before the old DJ comes and screws with the music.” I said a little annoyed.

“Yes, we should definitely go now.”

We walked into the club to the song “Bag of Money” by Wale and all of the guys had their eyes on Lyndsay and me. We spotted Kayla at the bar with a leather jacket and her hair was cut. Oh. My. Gosh. She cut her. Her hair was so glamorous and long and thick and blonde but now it was all gone. We approached her and we had stunned looks on our faces. She had texted me that she had a surprise but I never would’ve thought of this much of a surprise.

“So, what do you guys think too much or no?” she asked us loud enough to hear over the music.

“I like it but I would’ve never thought you would do it.” Lyndsay told her

“I know, it was a little bold but I really like it. It fits who I Am.” She said before turning to me.

“I like the change. So let’s celebrate with some drinks!” I stated as we all laughed.

“HELL YEAH!” Lyndsay and Kayla said in unison.

We drank and told each other stories about how school was going, how we were meeting new boys and dating them and stuff of that nature. I was the designated driver so I drank a sprite and cherry flavored drink. Kayla and Lyndsay drank shots of tequila and martinis. It started to get late and I had work in the morning so we left the club and grabbed some pizza on the way home. I dropped off Kayla and Lyndsay at Kayla’s apartment. They were going to ride out their hangover together in the morning and I was glad I didn’t drink or else I would be messed up in the morning. I walked down the calmly light walls of my apartment exhausted and ready to crash. I turned the corner and my worst enemy for my drunk in nights, was at the door waiting for me. My dad. I was definitely happy I hadn’t drunk any liquor.

“Where the hell have you been? I’ve been calling you all day” he asked in a worrisome tone.

“Well hello to you too dad.” I said in a cheerful tone as I approached my door and unlocked it.

“Don’t hello me, young lady. You owe me an explanation!” He said trying not to shout as we entered my apartment.

“I’m sorry I didn’t call. I was at work all day and when I finally got home Lyndsay was waiting for me to get ready so I could take them clubbing,” I said kicking off my heels and placing them by the door.

“Please tell me that you didn’t drive drunk.” He said with a questioning eye brow.
