Erin's POV

After my dispute with Mr. Silverstone, now known as asshole, I called headquarters reported on my progress with both clients. When I finished my call I walked the perimeter and checked on the very polite and down to earth Mr. Silverstone and his wife. After I did my rounds again before making my way to the guys to let them know I was going to bed but before I made it to my room the all so mighty asshole stopped me.

"What do you need?" I asked him with slight annoyance.

"I was just trying to say that I wasn't using you like you thought I was." He informed me.

"Then what were you doing? Going behind my back? Trying to prove me incapable? What was your goal?" I asked stepping closer to him.

He swallowed before nodding his head. "I-I just...I don't Know...I just-" he stuttered.

"Just apologize." I compromised.

He sighed before bowing his head slightly. "I'm sorry for not trusting you and your team with my brother's life. I admit I was trying to test some boundaries I guess and I shouldn't have. I was wrong about you." He said a sincere look gracing his face.

"I accept your apology. Thank you." I said before turning back to head to my room but being stopped once again.

"Why don't you join me and my brother for a few drinks." He offered stepping closer now occupying the space I had left.

"I don't drink on the job." I stated before started to turn around a gain.

"Then I could get you a soda." He offered again.

"You don't have invite me, I'm just here to protect you all." I said offering him an out.

"I know I don't have to invite you I wanted to." He said before grabbing my arm and leading me to the den.

"Look who I found." Derek said dragging me to the couch and pushing me down into the seat.

"Hey you came to join us." Jacob said his arm around his wife.

I smiled at them before glancing to the door way where Derek had just left through. "Yeah your brother has a way of getting what he wants sometimes."

"Yeah I heard what happened in the foyer. My brother can be a total ass sometimes and he doesn't think things all the way through but I'm glad someone actually was ballzie enough to tell him to fuck off. I've only seen a few people actually do it successfully." He said squeezing his wife and giving me a thankful smile.

"Yeah thanks for letting me see my husband. I probably would've been at home crying my eyes out if I wasn't here." She told me before looking at her husband with so much love and adoration that I became somewhat envious.

I'm not jealous of her love towards him or anything just wish I could love someone like that too someday.

At that moment Derek walked back in with two cans of sprite and two bottles of beer.

"Here you go ladies." Derek said handing me a sprite along with Alice. We smiled our thanks as he handed his brother a beer before taking a sip of his.

We all sat there and watched movies and talked and laughed and just had fun until Jacob decided he and his wife should get some sleep. Which left me and Derek alone in the den.

"You know you have yet to show me how your fighting skills." I stated while I turned in his direction.

"Would you like to fight now?" he asked me now turning in my direction as well.

"I wouldn't mind." I said standing up as he did too.

"Alright I'll meet you down in the gym in five minutes." He said before taking a sip of the bottle of water he had gotten after his beer.
