Flashback

I watched as he slapped her again, this time full force I couldn't do anything but watch as he got on top of her chocking her.

tears where flowing down my face making my vision blurry, I wanted to make him stop push him off but the last time I got beaten worse than her.

I watched mommy claw at my daddy's hand she was crying hard, I listened to my dad call my mom a fat stupid ugly w word, B word, and s word.

my sister took this the worst, every week he'd beat her if we were lucky he'd stop after she pasted out if we weren't lucky he'd take advantage of her while we where still In the room.

but today was different mommy accidentally spilled some orange juice on daddy at breakfast, she was so scared that she poured more on him than the cup at first daddy was calm until mommy started crying then he started beating her.

it wasn't like this in the beginning before Daria was born daddy was super nice we played catch all the time, and went for ice cream a lot.

now he gets angry all the time. mommy was now trying to crawl away but daddy wasn't having that he took off his belt and hit her across the back, I looked away as he whacked her again and again.

mommy was sobbing every once in a while she would scream Daria was crying she was only 2 so the only thing that made sense coming out of her mouth right now was stop and, please.

my momma was lying On the floor this time she wasn't moving she was breathing but Barely, my dad looked at my screaming sister his eyes glowing yellow as he growled "shut up you worthless little brat" he stepped forward his canines growing I stepped in front of my sister ready to take both mine and her beating.

my dad stopped his eyes going back to there normal color, he then walked to the closet pulled out his carry on bag walking down stairs with a cigarette in his mouth.

"my little boy became a man today promise me you won't be anything like me" he was looking at me dead serious how could I agree to that we looked almost identical accept I had my mothers nose, "yes father I--I promise" my hands where shaking was he proud of me or was he about to hurt me.

"I'll give your mother about 10 minutes before waking her up put some ice on her eye and don't let her near a lot of light, don't allow her out of the house unless dark, your the man of the house now silver-slag."

I hadn't been called that since I was really little he crushed me in a awkward one hand hug before shoving me off and, kissing Daria on the forehead roughly he then stepped over to mommy and pecked her on the cheek.

he walked out of the house lighting his cigarette and whistling, I watched my dad leave my mom sprawled out on the floor stretched out like no one cared to check on her, like no one cared to see if she was okay.

I ran to the window and watched my dad throw his bag in the trunk I was sobbing now booger sliding out of my nose tears and snot on my face as I banged on the window.

"daddy please don't go momma won't do it again she'll be a good girl just like you wanted please don't LEAVE ME!!"

"Dad never even came back this time though, He didn't even turn around he just waved got into his car and drove away.
