One last heartbeat Mr. Alpha

Ethan's pov
I woke up and instantly smiled, I could hear birds singing in the distance, the soft snores of Alexander from his tent.

Sarah was in my arms fast asleep, I smiled bigger remembering last night we snuck into her tent and made animal shadows from the firelight, we talked about our favorite baseball players, about our families, then we played truth or dare, which lead us to wrestling basically it was a lot of kissing, then when she got cold she Insisted we cuddled.

I felt Sarah squirm in my arms as I attempted to leave the tent, "five more minutes" she mumbled wrapping my arms back around her I laid back on to the pillow.

I didn't mind Sarah actually smells really good, she smells like strawberries, and vanilla.

I also don't mind because I enjoyed her presence.

I'd much rather her be here with me than in Alex's tent, I used my hand to move her hair off her neck, replacing her hair with my lips kissing her neck gently.

she smirked turning her head to face me.

"I know what you're doing and it's not gonna work, I just met you yesterday so the only morning wood I'm getting is sticks for the fire."

and with that she turned her whole body towards me burying her head in the crook of my neck, preventing me from kissing her.

I closed my eyes wrapping my arms around Sarah tighter and resting my head on top of hers.

"I love you" I mumbled so quiet that I barely heard myself say it, but it was no use Sarah was already to far gone to hear me.

"We need a pulse get the defibrillator now !!"

I watched Rachel take off to find the defibrillator while I started to preform cpr on the alpha, 30 compression in 2 minutes.

( this is probably wrong I took that class like way long time ago and I wasn't listening I was thinking about how great my mixtape was lol jk just didn't care)

Rachel came rushing into the room and I stopped what I was doing, watching as she placed the paddles on his chest shocking him, his body jumped and the line on the monitor screen returned to it normal rhythmic mountains.

I watched as Doctor Sanchez removed each bullet carefully, and craftily stitched up the open wounds .

"we're losing him highen the voltage 250 watts" she yelled.

Rachel instantly obeyed her and I watched as the alphas body once again jumped up.

the doctor instantly went back to taking out bullets, "scalpel" she yelled, I focus my attention away from Rachel to the operating table, and grabbed the knife quickly handing it to the doctor watching as she carefully cut the skin shielding a bullet deep into the alphas torso.

this is gonna be a long operation I mumbled in my head.

            Skyler pov
I'm about to lose it it been hours since Dakota went into surgery, I want to see him! I have to see him!

I need to know that he's alright, I'll be crushed if he doesn't make it out.

how will I live with my self knowing that I treated him like dirt before he died, I hugged my knees thinking about how screwed up I am.

my brother is missing, half of the pack was looking for him and the other half was arranging funerals.

I was the Luna I should be stepping up and taking full responsibility.

But I feel like I can't, I need Dakota I can't survive if he doesn't, we where supposed to get married and have little furry children like Ethan said only months ago.

it funny how that one person who made you laugh, and smile one day can be on their death bed the next.

the main person who made me feel normal, who showed me real love after my parents died was on the verge of never breathing again.

I hate my life, I hate everything, this is my fault somehow some way if I weren't born, if my parents never met, if I had never come home that night and found my brother in the dumb waiter, I wouldn't be in this mess I would be away in rio with my ex boyfriend Enrique.

who promised me a life of love, and luxury if I married him.

Although it wouldn't have been worth it, my parents probably would have found out I was sneaking around with him.

I wouldn't have been happy with Enrique either, yeah he was charming, had money and but he also had issues.

him mom left him on the front steps of an orphanage when he was little because, she didn't like the fact that he looked so much like his dad who had died in the military before Enrique was born.

he was raised in a foster home, and was adopted by a wealthy family because the woman couldn't have children of her own.

Enrique has anger issues, and he was afraid of abandonment.

I didn't understand at the time that my parents weren't coming back, that they didn't just up and leave us or go missing on purpose.

I didn't understand that I was alone.

I didn't realize until I saw flashes on tv of my mothers headless body, stuffed in a trash bag for the whole world to see.

then a week later my dad was on tv he had been butchered stabbed over 10 times.

I sat there in the chair hugging my knees, placing my head on them waiting patiently for the surgery to be over, waiting patiently for my brother to come back.

           Ethan's pov
I heard growls outside, I looked over to my right and Sarah was no where to be found.

the tent looked like it had been ripped open, my head hurt it felt like I was about to throw up.

I launched myself out of the tent, I watched helplessly as a rusty colored wolf attacked my mate.

I only knew it was her because I could smell her, I watched as he or she clasped it's teeth around Sarah's neck.

my attention snapped to Alexander who was on the ground lying lifeless.

I guess Sarah's parent didn't come back for her the ones that kill them did.

I snapped out of my haze  and attempted to brake up the fight, Sarah pinned the rusty colored wolf sinking her teeth into it.

I watched as she killed him, I felt something sharp dig it's way into my leg, I didn't really focus on anything anymore.

I could only hear growling and whimpering.

after a while I felt warm hands touch me.

"Ethan!" she called gripping my face and examining me she then proceeded to kiss me all over my face.

"you idiot!!" She yelled "you could have died, look at you you're bleeding" she yelled louder.

all I could do was stare at her in shock.

she was just happy that I'm alive, now she's calling me an idiot and shaking me.

that's not even the best part she hovered over me completely naked.

I was out eating lunch with my friend and that dummy goes I don't want a ring when I'm proposed to I want a medium sized pizza and some hot wings 😂😂😂

the picture at the top is so true I used to hit my cousin when she said stupid things and she would snitch on me like all the time.
