Trust issues

Daria's pov
I felt my heartbeat speed up, my grip on the backpack tightening
The leaves under my feet crunching.

I've NEVER been this far into the woods before.

I heard a bird shriek from a tree and I had to slap my hand over my mouth in order not to scream.

the bird came crashing out of the tree, and I almost took off running in the other direction until Cato came jumping out of the tree after the bird.

" My lady" he greeted, I slapped his chest as hard as I could "you scared me you big jerk" Cato laughed

"what no kiss" I couldn't help smile at that one as I attacked him with a kiss.

Cato was my mate we've been dating for about a month now we usually meet in the woods in between our territories, I haven't told anyone about Cato because there's a age difference, he's 22 also I know my parents would not approve with him being from another pack.

"did you get the stuff" he asked referring to the bag strapped around my shoulders, I nodded watching him he was wearing khakis and all black running shoes.

I stared to pull the things out of the bag a bottle of wine, plates, cups, the blanket, sandwiches, water melon slices, cubed cheeses, and other foods.

"damn girl I didn't think you'd bring the whole kitchen" Cato Said shaking his head he was throwing tiny daggers at the tree that he had jumped from each one almost hitting the same spot.

I glared giving him the finger I started to set up the blanket my back to him, I turned to face him "are you gonna help me or not" I said agitated, he shook his head "nah I like the view" he responded plopping down beside me

     Dakota's pov
All I could hear is that beeping nose but it was distant am I dead?, is it all over?, has the suffering finally stopped?.

I felt my eyelid being opened and a bright light being shined into my right eye.

"he should be waking up soon" I heard a male voice say, "don't tell him I was here I just came to make sure he was alive.

Wait I know that voice!, she can't leave! I cat let her leave !

I opened my eyes quickly and skyler stared at me in horror, the nurse shifted uncomfortably "I'll leave you two alone." he said awkwardly walking out of the room.

Sky stared at the ground her face red.

"I-" I attempted to talk but my voice came out croaky, she rushed over a glass of water was on the table beside me.

I didn't hesitate to drink the water, when she removed the glass from my mouth she tried to move away I grabbed her pulling her to me.

"I'm sorry I didn't cheat on you, the baby is not mine if it was I would have felt it, its to weak to be mine I wouldn't hurt you ever I love you I always have and I always will.

I cant sleep, I can't eat, you are all I think about you're all I want and all I need don't leave I won't make it much longer without you."

she was quiet for a while she then stood up not saying a word she turned around silent tears sliding down her face, she slid into the small hospital bed with me and kissed me.

my body felt weird it was like the numbness that once filled my body was replaced by a warm feeling, a feeling I was used to, a feeling of home, that feeling you get when someone who's been gone comes back and you want to cry, a feeling that told me this is how it should be.

she pulled away gently placing her head in my neck still sniffling from crying.

"are-" I started "shut up you're  ruining the moment" she hissed cutting me off

             Ethan's pov
"Are we almost there" Sarah wined I looked back at her giving her a questioning look, she rolled her eyes "my feet hurt I'm hungry and we've been walking in circles admit it you don't know what you are doing and you're just trying to show off because you think that your terrible navigation is gonna impress me"

I smirked "is it working" I questioned she glared "I'm not going any further!" She growled crossing her arms over her chest.

"the pack house should be a couple more miles out but If you are hungry I guess we can stop here.

she walked off jumping into the air she shifted and stared running off into the woods to search for food.

I could hear someone laughing in the distance and my eyes went wide, I know that laugh I know because that's the same laugh that laughed at my stupid jokes, the same laugh that belonged to the girl who I once had a huge crush on.

what was she doing out here?

I don't remover telling Sarah about Daria so the bigger question is what's gonna happen when they see each other.

I heard a growl and scream come from that direction not thinking I bolted through the woods my mind focusing on one thing "Daria!!" I yelled.
