Janice woke first, shifting herself so her head was on Willow's chest, unable to be far without being in pain herself, but knew nobody would believe her that Willow was the real villain. She knew she shouldn't have fallen for the elf the day they met, Janice was helping a kid find their sister, holding his older sister's hairpin, she hadn't known the sister she'd be meeting was Willow. There was a pull though, an attraction she couldn't deny, she knew how she looked, and stupidly, very stupidly, she said her real name. Witches don't give them out to elves, but wait, there was another witch here.
Janice shot out the bed, going to the living room, but stopped when she saw everyone else there and awake, everyone she worked with at the nursery except Siobhan.
Vivian stood up, seeing their enemy there as Autumn did as well. "Where'd you take Siobhan?" Vivian asked sharply. "Ask the damned elf, she's the reason everything went down the way it is, elves can control anybody and anything if they know their real name, why do you think it's the rule of being a witch?!" Janice shot back, already feeling worse at being far away from Willow, but ignored the sensations.
"You expect us to believe that she's some mastermind that can hypnotize creatures that can't be controlled?" Autumn shot back.
"Well, any creature can be controlled by an elf," Deliah said from her spot on the couch, tilting her head at her mother. "Speaking, do you know your mother's real name?" Vivian asked Deliah, referring to Janice. "No, I didn't even know Willow's real name was Autumn." Deliah admits.
"So, back to square one?" Mia just asked as she forced Janice on the couch, not trusting the vampire for one minute. "Back to what Carly overheard, what do we think Holly's planning?" Mia just asked. "Sirens can't be controlled by someone younger than them, Willow isn't as old as Holly," Charlotte said.
"No, Willow is way older than Holly," Janice spoke from her spot, offering the first real helpful thing. "Look, I'll make a temporary alliance if you undo the damned spell Willow used on me." Janice told the group, wanting to have done this years ago, but couldn't for some reason.
"Like we trust you after that, you've worked with our father for years," Reece reminds Janice. "Not by choice!" She finally admits.
"Look, I'll explain it all from the start. Hundreds of years ago, I met Roger, he was around 8 at the time, I was a teenage witch, so I was 16 at the time. I was going by what I do now since our rule is to never say our real name, we always make up fake ones. That was the day I met Autumn, well, that was what she told me. She said she went by it because she loved that season, so it's not her real name. In fact, I don't even think Roger knows her real name at this point, but it's not the point. Anyways, the moment I saw her, I felt this pull towards her, it was a weird feeling, one I'd never had. I asked an older witch about it, and she said that's how witches feel once meeting their true love, so I believed it. Autumn and I were getting closer as the days went by, and the day I asked her out, I blurted out my true name. It's not one witches should do, especially in front of elves because that's the one creature that can control us, but Autumn promised me and said, "I, Autumn Knight, will never control you." I guess she went over it because she goes by Willow Fortune now. I don't think I've ever heard her real name, but once we can find it out, we'll be able to undo every single spell she's ever done, but there's no way to find it." Janice told them, giving them a ton of information.
"No, wait, I heard this spell that witches can do, it's way too powerful for me or Vivian to do, but basically, they can go into that person's memories, any creature too, so it includes elves, and find what they want to know." Carly told the older woman.
"Yeah, but the only problem is, if nobody's strong enough to do that spell, then nobody would be old enough to transform Janice back into a vampire." Reece reminded.
"Actually, I know one witch that would be powerful enough for it." Deliah told the room, silencing everyone. "The bar girl, Sara, she's my friend, and a very powerful witch."
~~~~~~~~
"Siobhan darling, wear that black dress I really like, I'm going to introduce you to a very powerful man that you have to meet." Roger stated to her, knowing she'd obey. He hated using his powers, hated the compelling, but he had no choice, his hold had to be strong on Siobhan's or a more powerful man would turn her against him more than she is. "I need to find a better way of protecting the people I care about." Roger muttered under his breath as he finished putting his suit on, having the buttons done with the black tie to match, looking just as perfect as he took Siobhan's hand and the two of them made it to the restaurant.
"Reservations for David Knight." Roger told the woman. He already knew who she was; Sara. The others, if they were smart, would make their way over here. He just hoped his plan would work as they made their way over. "I didn't know you used a different name," Siobhan observed, confused with the change. "I didn't, we're meeting my father." Roger stated, leading them into the private booth where the most refined and elegant gentleman stood, smoke filled the room from his cigarette as he saw his sister.
"Hey sis, glad you joined us," Roger sat down next to his sister, letting his girlfriend sit next to him.
~~~~~
"So, me, Winter, Marjorie and Reece will walk in and pretend we're just here for a table since I know we normally come to the bar." Autumn stated as the others nodded, letting Vivian use a cloaking spell on them while Autumn walked in holding Winter's hand.
"Hey! Are you here for the Knight reservation? There's already 4 people, but the one who made it was this older gentleman. He said he was expecting the rest of his family to arrive." Sara stated, which confused all four of them as she led them to the back room where everyone else already was.
"Glad to know my grandchildren are here now, come on, sit down," the oldest one said, shocking the four since they hadn't known Roger's father was alive. Reece could see that Willow and Roger were already talking while Siobhan just looked uncomfortable, so Marjorie went over and sat by her while the others situated themselves into a spot as Marjorie secretly set her tail on Siobhan's lap as a way of warmth and comfort.
One thing the Knight siblings never knew was who their grandparents were, now that they met their grandfather, they knew this day would get much more interesting.
