Dates and Kisses

___

It was only about 6 on a Saturday when Lucas tipped down down the stairs. He was as silent as he could be. So, why, why, was it that his Pops heard him?

His pops was supposed to be off in his office or I don't know, yelling at his dad for no reason whatsoever!

"Where are you going?" His pops said just as the door made a 'click' noise.

"Nowhere, I'm not going anywhere. Where...where are you going? You're the one who tried opening the door. What?" Lucas rambled, leaning on the door.

Harry raised an eyebrow,"Where you really just about to sneak out? Seriously, couldn't you have waited until midnight at least? It's evening."

"Well, you see..." Lucas have his Pops a big smile,"Papa...I love you more than anything in the world. I am a good son, I have good grades, I don't do drugs...so please, please. May I go out tonight?"

"With who?" Harry asked, folding his arms and resting them on his 4 month belly.

Lucas sucked in a breath,"With...with Mike!"

"If you were going with Mike you wouldn't have hesitated." Harry smirked, knowing he had his son trapped.

"I...I'm going on a date." Lucas said, a blush on his cheeks.

Harry frowned,"Luke..."

"I know...I know you're scared, and truth is, I am too. But what happened was almost 5 months ago, if I run away from it, I'll never get over it. Pops, please let me go." Lucas pleaded.

Harry sighed,"Alright, alright. You can go."

"Thanks you, thank you, thank you!" Lucas said as he hugged his father tightly.

As they pulled away, they heard a car horn outside.

"That's him, Pops." Lucas said,"I'll be home at around 10. Love ya." He said giving his pops a kiss on the cheek.

Then Lucas turned to the door, ready to leave and have a good time.

"Lucas," Harry said, making Luke stop and turn around,"You look beautiful, honey."

Lucas smiled,"Thank you."

Then he was out the door.

___

Lucas giggled as Gavin pulled out a chair for him,"What a gentleman."

Gavin sat across from Luke,"You look amazing. I mean, not that you don't always look amazing, because you do."

Luke blushed,"Stop complimenting me, will you?"

There was soft music playing in the background as a comfortable silence fell between them.

"Hello, may I take your orders?"

"Yes, please. I would like a hamburger with a side of fries, please." Lucas said, with a smile.

"I'll have the same thing, please." Gavin said, thanking  the waitress.

"So, what-" Lucas was interrupted by Gavin.

"I'm sorry." He blurted, confusing Luke because what in the world is he sorry for?

Oh god, was he about to tell him that this was a mistake and that they should've never come in a date? That he had somehow discovered what had happened between Levi and him? That he was disgusted? That-

"I know you didn't really expect me to bring you to McDonalds because you deserve a big fancy French restaurant but I-"

"No, I love this. It doesn't really mater where, as long as we have a good time." Lucas smiled,"I haven't been here since my dad made me buy a happy meal for him."
