Lucas and Landon were supposed to be forever. The bestest of friends that were always going to be there for each other. Then Landon fu.cked up.

More than half of the school day had passed when they saw each other.

Landon let out a low whistle as he saw Lucas walk down the hall towards him,"I don't know, but I'm pretty sure your Pops would never let you out of the house wearing that."

Lucas smiled and put his hand in his hips,"I left the house with another outfit on."

Landon gasped,"I don't believe it! Lucas has gone bad."

Lucas rolled his eyes,"Oh , shut it. I'm going to go see Gavin after school, so yeah." His cheeks grew a rosy pink.

Landon frowned,"Ummm...but today's our annual BF Fair day? We always go to the fair after school. Did you forget?"

"Oh, shìt! I'm so sorry, I forgot!" Lucas furrowed his eyebrows and frowned,"Rain check?"

"But we've never missed it before." I'm losing him. All because of Gavin. I can't lose Lucas, I won't.

"Missing one won't hurt us, come on." Lucas whined,"Please understand, Lan."

"But this is our day, you yourself came up with it! A day we drop everything, and have some fun. Together." Landon said, trying to hide the desperation but really, he wasn't doing a really good job at it.

Lucas' hand played with the bottom of his skirt,"Sometimes things change."

Landon shook his head,"Not for us. Never for us. At least , not until Gavin came into your life. Suddenly, you don't stop by anymore, you don't invite me over, you cancel our movie night last second, and now this."

Lucas turned red,"Don't you blame this in Gavin! He has nothing to do with this!"

"He has everything to do with this! Everytime you cancel on me, who are you with!?" Landon was angry. He knew he should stop, but it was like someone opened the lid to what he need to say and it was all just pouring out.

"Maybe I just wanted to spend time with my boyfriend,who I love!" Lucas said.

"Yeah?" Landon huffed out,"You used to want to spend time with me. Why is it different now?"

Lucas stayed quiet. It's not the he didn't have anything to say but he knew Landon wasn't done talking.

"We were inseparable, and then suddenly you were slipping away. You've already had two boyfriends and now you're so in love with one and you don't see..." Landon turned his back towards Luke.

"I don't see what?" Lucas questioned, almost sounding breathless.

"You really don't know,huh?" Landon chuckled and turned back around,"I guess everyone is blind to something."

"What is it the I'm blind to?"

Landon stepped closer to Luke. His hand coming up to crease his check,"I'm in love with you, Lucas." He leaned in and he was so close but Luke pushed him back.

"No, you can't." Lucas said stepping back.

"But I am, Luke." Landon said with tears welling up in his eyes,"And believe me when I say that I've tried so hard not to love you but I do."

Luke looked down,"Lan...Landon, I think it's best if we don't speak for a while. I can't handle this, I'm sorry." And then he ran away.

Landon watched as the person that meant most to him ran out of his life. He let out a grunt of rage and punched the locker, denting it,"Fuçk!"

He slid down the lockers until he was sitting in the ground, tears streaming down his face. I shouldn't have said anything. I should have just said it was okay and moved on. But I just had to open my big mouth...now he'll never want to see me again. I don't know how I'm going to live without him.
