THIRD PERSON

"Daddy?" Lucas asked innocently to Louis,"Can I go out with some friends and Levi tonight?"

Louis raised his eye brow,"You do know that for permission to go out you ask your father, right? My duty is to smother you, make sure you wake on time, and feed you. Your father is in charge of changing nappies, coming up with punishments and...?"

"Deciding wether or not we can go out." Luke mumbled, frowning,"He's gonna say no."

"You never know unless you take a chance." Louis smiled at his son,"Go ask him."

"Pops, did you know you are the best parent in the world?" Luke said setting down a plate of spaghetti and meat balls in front of Harry.

Harry raised his eyebrow,"Yes, I am well aware of that." He grabbed the fork and began to eat.

"And that you are one of the cool parents? My friends are jealous!" Luke exclaimed,"Can you believe that!?"

"Alright, what do you want?" Harry asked crossing his arms.

"What? No, I don't want anything! Why would you think that!?" Luke asked in a high pitched voice.

"You have a high pitched voice when you lie and I gave birth to you." Harry said and slowly asked,"What. Do. You. Want."

"Can I go out with my friends and Levi tonight?"

"No."

"But why noooot?"

"Because I don't know Levi.

"But you know my friends."

"But I don't know Levi. And if I let you, and you get hurt, he's gonna die."

"Paaaapa."

"Luuuke."

"Ask him over for dinner instead! Then, we can get to know him, and you can go out Friday nights under curfew."

"Fine!"

"Fine."

"Good!"

"Good."

"I'll call him right now!"

"Then go call him right now."

"Goodbye!"

"Goodbye."

Dinner was awkward.

"Dad, pops, this is Levi." Luke said, nervously introducing his not-yet-but-hopefully-soon-boyfriend.

"Nice to meet you." Levi said holding out his hand towards Harry.

Harry scrunched up his nose and ignored Levi's hand,"You could do better." He said looking at Luke.

"Harold!" "Pops!" Louis and Luke said in unison.

Levi retrieved his hand awkwardly,"Err...ok."

"Let's make our way to the dinner table!" Louis said trying to break through the ice.

Once they were seated and dinner was served, the interview started.

"So, Levi, what are you doing after high school?" Harry asked.

"Well, I really haven't thought out that far. But I think I'm planning on going to college for awhile." Levi shrugging.

"Interesting." Harry said pressing his lips together,"How are your grades?"

"Straight A's, sir"

"Wow, really?" Luke whispered to him and Levi nodded.

"Good. That's great."

Luke smiled,"Did you know that Levi is a writer? He writes short stories and donates them to the kids library."

Louis smiled,"Really? That's really generous of you." He gave a look at Harry, arguing him to say something.

"Yes,yes, very generous." Harry said giving him an obviously fake smile.

Levi gave an awkward smile,"Thank you."

"So, Pops...can I go out with him and my friends tonight?"

Harry leaned forward and started straight into Levi's eyes glaring,"If you don't get him back by 10, I'm hunting you down."

"YES!" Luke said cheering,"We'll be leaving now!!" He dragged Levi out.

They waited until it was clear to talk.

"I told you he wasn't going to be bad." Louis began.

"I guess, but there's just something about him. He gives me a bad vibe, he seems a bit too perfect."

"Hey, you're just paranoid, ok? It's the first time our son has ever dated. I have a bad feeling too, but I'm ignoring it because Levi is a good kid."

Harry sighed and nodded,"I just hope you're right."
