I wake up in my bed with Newt, his arms protectively surrounding me. I turn around so I'm facing him. He looks so cute and peaceful, the corner of his mouth turned up ever so slightly. His caramel hair is sticking up in several places, but I still want to run my fingers through it.

His brown eyes abruptly flutter open. "It's rude to stare, love."

I roll my eyes and fake a scowl.

"Good morning to you too," he jokes.

I just laugh and snuggle closer to him. He holds me tightly in his arms.

"How are you this morning?"

I sigh. "I'm better."

"How did you sleep?"

"Great."

"You didn't wake up or scream or even thrash around. What changed?"

I hesitate, embarrassed by my answer.

"You were here," I whisper, so softly he can't hear me.

"What did you say? Sorry, I couldn't understand," he asks.

I gather any confidence I have to answer him. "It's because you were here," I say clearly this time.

"Anytime, I'm here for you, love."

"Anytime?"

"Anytime."

"Can you stay again tonight?" I ask. I don't know if I'll ever be okay without Newt here with me.

"I can stay with you any night you need me to."

"So all of them wouldn't be a problem?"

"It definitely would not be a problem."

"Good, I need you."

"I need you too."
