ELEVEN AND STRANDED: The Beginning

Lyn

Lyn is a very special demigod. She can speak to animals. Apollo claimed her as his own daughter when she was ten, after her first encounter with a monster. She talked to a bear who helped her defeat the empousa. Her victory was unlike any other. The bear mauled the empousa to shreds and Lyn watched as the golden dust spread across the ground and blew away with the wind. As a green glow appeared about her head she knew what she had to do. The symbol that appeared was none other then the symbol of Apollo which she had read about in the past. She must follow the map this book has provided her. She pulls out a copy of The Lightning Thief.

Just then there is a rustle in the trees. A saytr comes out and explains he is her protector. Together they make the journey to Camp HalfBlood. On the way they get in several fights against many monsters. They even have to defeat a Hydra. The problem is that Hydras are nearly impossible to kill. Will they make it to the camp in one piece or will they lose track and get off course. Along the way they will meet many challenges. They must rely on the ability to overcome their enemies. They meet the powerful Oz and the monsters under his command. However there is some rustling in the crowd of monsters as one changes form constantly. As they fight they are helped by someone else. Here is the conversation prior to the battle.

Lyn "So where are we?" Juni "We are in the woodlands just north of the U.S. Canadian border. You see the lake over there, it is know as the Boundary Waters. It is a popular vacation spot if you want to be out of the world for two weeks straight." "If that is really how secluded that lake is then we are in a bad area. I keep having this gut feeling something will go wrong." "In this area there is a man who can help us if we get into a fight against the amount of monsters that are reported around here. I don't know why a demigod would risk his own life by living out here in this forest." "Wait someone lives out here?" "Yes some people call him a legend, others call him lucky. Usually while on a transport mission I am not allowed to tell the person I am protecting anything about other halfbloods. However we are in the territory that he controls. He goes by the code name MCRC. If anything should occur he will be the one to protect us both." "Shh, do you hear that?" "Hear what?" "Over there in the brush." "Wait I smell empousa." And with that they were in battle.

A dragon appears out of nowhere and envelopes the empousa in flames. It was red with a single yellow stripe down its armor. Why would a dragon have armor on? There is no rider but it is unknown that a dragon would help a demigod. The dragon had blue eyes with diamond plated armor on the head. Lyn "Who's dragon is that?" Juni "Something tells me that is Praetor MCRC's dragon." "Who's that?" "He is the Praetor of the Eight Legion of Gual. Only the greatest demigod of all time. Even more powerful than Hercules himself." "And I never heard of him before." "A lot of people don't know about him, now duck!" Juni hits a Fury with his billy club. "Step right." "Not today monsters!" Out from the wood line appears a man in diamond armor and imperial gold swords. MCRC "Hey Furies, Minotaur, Empousai, Shuttershocks come and get me!" "It is him. We are saved." With that the battle took new meaning.

MCRC, who came from the woodline called in a dragon. This dragon was unlike any other dragon ever seen before. It was a black dragon. The dragon made no noise at all. It shoots blue balls of extremely concentrated gas. MCRC, who came to the rescue, has a huge secret. A few years back before the war of the Gods MCRC met a girl who was a daughter of Poseidon. Her name is Bailey and they became very close friends. he protected her from all harm. One day she was taken hostage by Kronus. To this day he still searches for a way to get her back. But he fights to the end of the Earth and back. He does it because he knows there is a way to save her. Never in a million years will he waver from his quest. Oh wait he doesn't have a million years.

"Go back to Tartarus! Ender attack!" For more than an hour the battle raged on. That is when the Hydra appeared. "Ender back!" For those of you who are unfamiliar with Hydras here is a short description. They have five heads and the middle one spews fire. You can see how this can be very difficult to defeat. But MCRC can take them out with ease. The trick is getting underneath the beast. However MCRC is now engulfed in flames. For a demigod getting a burn is an almost guaranteed death sentence. The burn will weaken a demigod faster than a regular mortal. By now he has been burned a total of six hundred times. Once under the beast you can use its flame against it. However that is a very risky move and you have to move fast. MCRC on the other hand decides to shove his blade up into the belly of the beast.

As the Hydra bursts into golden dust another monster successfully pins MCRC to the ground. Lyn steps up and fights for her life. Juni gets knocked out. Lyn is the only one left standing. The forest is inhabited by many different animals. Some are very dangerous. "Animals of the night, I call upon you to grant me assistance in this battle! I humbly request you fight along my side!" There is a loud growl and a Grizzly Bear come out of the bushes. She fought and fought to protect Juni and then she called in a vast majority of the forest animals to help her. They protect Juni while she fights and advances towards the most powerful enemy she had ever faced alone in order to save MCRC and win the battle. As she gets closer MCRC starts to lose strength. She must act quickly otherwise she will surely die.
