*Beep....beep...beep, beep, beep, beep...*

"I think she's waking up."

"Somebody go grab a doctor!"

"We need a nurse in here!"

The muffled yells and talking sounded foreign in my ears. It wasn't the voices, those were familiar, but the sound of sound itself. It was like my body had shut down and was just now waking up. I mean, I guess I was waking up, or at least thats what the voice said right now.

Was I waking up? Did the thing with Evan not work? If so, where was I now? Where was Evan?

"Rosemary? Darling, are you awake?" The words slurred and as my eyes fluttered open, everything spun circles around me. The room was solid white and several people were standing around my bed.

"Oh, thank God!" A woman ran up and swung her arms around me, pressing my tightly against her chest. She looked me in the eyes, her's which had tears in them. All the sudden movement made me feel like I was going to pass out again. My eyes started to refocus and I realized I was standing in a room with my family, but this wasn't my family...

It was my mom who had her arms wrapped around me. A pale pink sweater was draped over her shoulders and her hair was in perfect curls. My stepfather Ryan was standing in the corner next to Annette.

"Annette!" Her eyes opened wide and she walked cautiously over to me. I motioned for her to come closer, and she gave me a strange look, but did so anyways.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were dead?"

Some of the people in the room laughed. "What are you talking about? I'm fine, you're the one who's in the hospital."

"But I saw you on the news! I was with Evan, and- Evan! Where is Evan?"

"Who is Evan?"

"Evan is the name of the boy who died in the same car crash," a doctor said as she walked into the room, examining a clipboard.

"Evan didn't die in a car crash. It was poison! He was there with me right before I passed out. When I woke up, I was here-"

"That's exactly what happened, but he died immidietely in the car crash. I'm sorry."

These people were crazy! They wouldn't even let me talk!

"If you would just listen-"

"It's all nonsense. She's been asleep for three months. How could one expect her to be thinking clearly? I'm surprised she's been able to talk at all."

Did the doctor just say I've been asleep for three months? No, that's not possible. I had to be dreaming. This was all wrong. I wasn't supposed to be here. I had to find Evan. We were supposed to be together forever.

The doctor exited the room.

"I need to talk to Evan." I looked over at my family standing to the side. This was all wrong. Annette looked like I was an alien to her. My parents were being overprotective and clingy to me. A man came running into the room.

"I came as soon as I heard." He turned to me and rushed to my side. Leaning in, he tried to kiss me, but I turned my face away.

"What the hell?" I pushed him off of me and he looked extremely offended.
