Chapter 7: New Family

Chapter 7: New Family

Cerise/Cherry's POV

Finally we arrived in Dressrosa. The island sure is really pretty. I love this island already, but not the ruler of it. He was kinda kind towards me at the beginning but today he showed me his real face. It was a mistake to join his crew. I'm not going to stay here for long, so my first priority right now is to make an escape plan. I'll do it once we reach the palace that I can see from here. That landmark is really high.

We started to walk towards the palace from another route instead of walking through the town. But while walking I saw some people and... toys?! What the hell?! I'll just ask Baby 5 later.

Once we reached the palace, some other weird looking people appeared. "Welcome back, Waka!" They said. They must be the rest of his crew.

"It's nice to be back." Doflamingo said and looked around. Then his attention landed on me. He motioned for me to come closer, which I did after a roll of my eyes. "This is our new member, Che-"

"Cerise!" I said with a smile, interrupting Doflamingo. Some of the members of his crew stared at me shocked, probably because I interrupted him. I glanced at the birdbrain beside me and saw him frown, but the grin remained on his stupid face. "Nice to meet you!" I said with a fake happy smile.

After the introductions, Baby 5 led me to a room that I would stay in for now until they find a suitable room for me. Then we headed to eat dinner. But before we entered the dininghall, I stopped her. "Baby 5, wait!" I whispered. She stopped and turned towards me.

"What is it?" She asked.

"I shouldn't be eating with you guys, I'm not a part of the family. I'm just his subordinate." I explained to her and looked down, looking sad. I actually don't care about that. I just need to go and prepare my escape plan.

She looked at me, understandingly. "Don't worry! Waka-sama won't be angry." She said and started to drag me towards the double doors.

I struggled a little and finally got my arm back. "No! I already made him mad at me twice today." I said and waved at her, as I started to back away. "See ya later!" I said with a fake sad smile.

Now, time to explore the palace.

Doflamingo's POV

The doors opened and in came Baby 5, alone. Where was- "Baby 5, where is Cherry?" I asked her once she sat down on her seat.

"Um, she said that she didn't want to eat with us." She said, which angered me. I frowned and my grip on my fork and knife tightened. "Because she wasn't a member of our family." She said after a moment. This eased my anger and the frown on my face disappeared.

I silently nodded and started to think. I took a few bites of my food before putting my fork and knife down. "I've decided on something and I want all of you to agree with my decision. No hard feelings, okay?" I said, loud enough for everyone around the table to hear me. They all nodded. "From this moment on Cherry will be a member of our family." I explained and saw everyone's mouth drop.

"WHAT?!"

"B-But, Waka..."

"She's only been here for a few hours!"

"Is she even reliable?"

And they kept saying stuff, except Baby 5. I rubbed my forehead, feeling a headache coming. I had just told them to not have any hard feelings which they agreed to. "ENOUGH!" I yelled out and everyone shut up. I stood up and left.

I walked through the halls, wanting to go to my bedroom. Suddenly I saw her. Out on the balcony. Pink hair swaying in the wind. I approached her from behind, quietly. "Hey." I said, startling her. She turned around in a swift, her hair swaying with her. I couldn't help but stare at her. She looked really beautiful in the moonlight.

"Why are you here?" She asked, with narrowed eyes. Then she turned back around to watch the view of Dressrosa. "Shouldn't you be having dinner with your family?" She said, placing her small hands on the railing.

I walked up to her and stood, leaned against the railing, beside her. I crossed my arms and smirked. "Yeah, I should." I said, watching the view as well. "But so should you." I added and turned my head to look at her.

Her head turned to me. She had a confused look on her face. "What does that mean?" She asked.

I stood up straight and put my arms on either side of her, placing my hands on hers on the railing, preventing her from going anywhere. Then I leaned down to her ear. "It means that you are a part of my family too."

Once she heard those words, she turned around, facing me now. Then I realized how close our faces were and she seemed to realize it too because a blush appeared on her face. My grin widened and my eyes travelled down to her lips. She was biting her lower lip. God, that looks so sexy...

I didn't realize that I was leaning towards her until she put her hands on my shoulders and pushing me back a little. She looked down her face completely red. Then I gulped and straightened up. "Sorry, I got carried away." I told her, noticing that she got uncomfortable. What the hell am I doing, anyway? I'm like almost twice her age, maybe even more.

There was an awkward silence between us. "Aren't you hungry?" I asked, suddenly. "Come on, let's go!" I said and motioned for her to walk, which she did, though she kept staring at the floor.

Hahaha! Poor Doffy! I really enjoyed writing this chapter and I hope you enjoyed reading it!

The picture (of Cerise with neko ears) will be uploaded in the next chapter. Promise! I am already done drawing it. Just have to color it.

Oh, and one more thing! I don't really have the exact color pencil for Cerise's hair and eyes, so I'm sorry for that. Her hair and eyes are cerise colored, like I said before. And the color pencil which I have is like magenta colored. So sorry for that again! But if you wanna know (or if you already know is doesn't matter) you can search on the internet for cerise pink and then you'll see her hair and eye color.
