Chapter 10: The Escape

Cerise/Cherry's POV

"I'll take you up here whenever you want to. Just let me know." He said with a gentle smile. It was weird seeing him smile like that. Something inside of me fluttered for some reason and I felt my face heat up. I bowed me head a little to prevent eye contact with him. Well, it's not like I can see his eyes with those glasses.

"Fufufu! Your ears popped out again." He stated and my hands automatically went up to my head.

Suddenly I felt his grip on me tighten a little and he brought me a bit closer to himself. I wrapped my arms around him tightly and rested my head on his shoulder with a smile. "Arigatou, Waka-sama, for bringing me up here."

[Back at the palace]

When we arrived in the palace, I was starting to get second thoughts about running away. Doflamingo is actually not a bad person. I'm the one who angers him all the time. No, no, no! I shook my head and headed straight to my room. He is a bad person. Look at what he has done to this country. He took the throne with force a year ago and has turned disobedient people into toys. Baby 5 told me everything about this country.

When I reached my room, I decided to take a shower. Since I will run away, I don't know when or where I will find a shower again.

After my shower, I went down to the dining hall and sat down on my seat, which was beside Diamante, who was sitting beside Doflamingo. Some other family members entered the hall afterwards.

"Cherry, here." Diamante said and put something on my lap.

I looked down weirdly. "What's this?" I asked, confused.

"It's the cherries you gave me a while ago." He clarified.

"Oh! I forgot about that. Thanks!" I said and opened the plastic bag to see my beautiful cherries. I took one and put it in my mouth.

"Cherry, you should eat your dinner first then the cherries-zamasu." Jora said, a bit scolding.

I placed the bag on the table and crossed my arms and pouted like a child, which earned a few chuckles from the table.

"Can I eat them?" Sugar asked and I immediately grabbed my bag of cherries and put it on my lap.

"Never." I said and started to eat my food.

During dinner I felt Baby 5 and Doflamingo's intense stares on me. It was making me uncomfortable and curious as to why they were watching me.

"It's time!" I whispered to myself and got out of bed. I grabbed the map that was under my pillow and my bag under the bed. Time to go.

I quietly opened the doors to the balcony and climbed up on the railing. I turned into my cat form and picked up my shoes that came off. I put them in my bag. I looked back one last time. Before jumping down.

I landed with grace on the ground and went over to the wall around the palace. I saw a tall tree and climbed up on it and jumped down on the other side of the wall. Now I was on the King's Plateau and started to run on all four towards the edge of the plateau. I looked down and saw the first level of the plateau. "I'll manage it." I told myself and jumped down.
