The new girl arrived near the end of dinner. She was almost unrecognizable with her make up and piercings gone. Her blonde hair had been tamed and pulled back revealing her soft face. She still looked tough as nails but just like the rest of them the fear was below the surface and Stiles could see it. He couldn't believe that was him once. He was no longer the new kid.

"Stiles. What did you find out man?" Scott asked from beside him.

"I found out more on pandora's box."

"I thought it wasn't Pandora's box though?" Isaac took another bite.

"It's not but if it's based on the same principle as the box then the more we know about it the more we learn about this chest thing."

"Good point."

"Alright Stilinski so tell us. What's in the box? No good right?" Scott added.

"The box held all the evil of the world and Pandora opened it letting everything out."

"That's reassuring." Isaac said with a mouthful.

"The idea is that something so innocent like opening a box can lead to disastrous results"

"Like unleashing all the evil in the world." Scott pointed out.

"Exactly. So the question is, does this chest exist? If so, what's in it? What are his plans for it?"

"Well Stiles, those are great questions. To bad we don't have any answers. It seems like the more we find out the less we know." All of the boys seemed defeated; questions swirling over and over tumbling in their minds. Scott was right though. They had more questions than answers and they needed to keep digging.

The sun was beginning to set and Stiles found himself alone sitting beneath a large tree. He had at least 15 minutes before he would be missed. The rest of his roomies were taking showers, finishing up homework, or doing last minute chores. He pulled the book they had found in the library from his bag and laid it on the grass turning to the page they had marked. The box stared back at him. What was Deucalion after? What was so important about the orthodox? What the hell was it?

"I've seen that before." Stiles could feel his heart jump into his throat and quickly looked up seeing Derek standing above him.

"What?" Derek took a seat next to Stiles in the grass.

"Maybe it wasn't the same box but it looks really familiar."

"When did you see it? Where did you see it?"

"Ummm, Deucalion's office, when I first got here. Why? What's wrong?"

"This. Right here? Is in his office?" Stiles pointed at the picture and could feel the excitement bubbling inside of him.

"That was a while ago Stiles, it's probably not there anymore. Why's it so important anyway?" Stiles felt the excitement quickly extinguish and found it quickly replaced with guilt. He'd kept Derek out of the loop.

"We kind of... I found the Orthodox."

"You what!?" Derek looked around making sure no one heard him yell and then he lowered his voice. "Start explaining. I want to know everything."

Derek watched with the same steely gaze the entire time Stiles talked. Stiles wasn't sure if he should feel better or worse that Derek was silent. It was hard to read someone who didn't wear every feeling on their sleeve. When Stiles was done rambling and sure he had covered everything he stopped taking a deep breath. He waited for Derek to say something or do something. It was agonizing. Derek just kept staring at those panicked brown eyes. When Stiles though he might finally crush under the pressure Derek finally spoke.
