"What the hell!?" Nyx whispered. It was creepy. *scratch, scratch, scratch* "I don't know, let's go look through the bunk bed window. I whispered back to her. She didn't reply but she did nod her head.

We moved slowly and quietly to the top bunk window. But once we did open the curtain the scratching stopped. No sight of anyone or anything, the only thing we saw was a shadow. Not just a normal shadow though, because it was almost 10:00 pm. It was a really dark, tall shadow. Which was odd. Really odd.

"What the hell?" I talked out loud more than to Nyx. "What the fuck was that about?"

"Did you see that shadow thing? Or was that just me?" Nyx asked me the question, but she didn't take her eyes off the direction we saw the shadow go. And all the color was drained from her face. She was pale, like the moon. "I saw it too, Nyx." Was all I said. Then I jumped off the bed and onto the couch.

"So that's it!? You're just gonna let that happen and not even think about it?" Screamed Nyx.

"I never said that. I simply just got off the bed." Was all I could think of saying. Then I quickly added, "Maybe it was Matt."

"Why do you say that?"

"I don't know. Maybe he knew we would sleep in the trailer, so maybe he wanted to freak us out." I explained bluntly.

"Ooh! Good thinking Zo! I will call him right now." She dug around in her bag she packed and brought out her iPhone. Then she punched in Matt's number.

"No answer. He's probably sleeping. Matt likes his sleep." Nyx looked really worried. "Hey, maybe it was just a prank." I reassured her. But who was I kidding? Who else knew Nyx and I that well, to come and freak us out; and in the trailer too?

"Hey, did you tell anyone about our sleepover?" I asked her, even though she didn't look at me.

"No one except Matt. But you and I both told him, on the same night."

"Huh. Well I am gonna sleep on it. All those Mike's are giving me a headache and the last thing I need is some sleepover drama."

"Yeah, I guess so." Nyx looked really tired, but she was still pale, though.

"Are you alright?" I asked her.

"Yeah. Just a little freaked that's all."

"Well, 'night." I curled up on my pillow and tucked my feet under my blanket, then drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up it was 2:47 am. "Ugh." I didn't know why I woke up, but then I realized why.
