Kabir's POV,

We literally were standing on the stage right now for our final round. We includes John, Rocky, Lola and me. Jenni wasn't there. The lead singer, the leader of "The Blowing Air" wasn't present.

"Wait for me and just trust me." That was what she said before getting into her car with her father. She didn't tell us where she was going. I didn't know what was going through her mind.

"I can just sit there and sing. Can't I?" She exclaimed with full of hope in her eyes.

"Stage presentation holds some score. They won't allow Lead singer sit." Rocky explained blankly.

"Also," Lola started, "You have your leg plastered with bandages. Our costume was a knee lengthen white dress. Don't you think they would say we are doing it for sympathy vote or something!"

John interrupted, "sympathy vote? Now they would want to check her leg if it's really broken or not? Seriously, this industry! Show off is superior to talent."

I couldn't see Jenni this sad anymore. I knew she wanted to perform. So what if we won't win? At least we could say we tried our best. We should ask for permission to let Jenni sing sitting on a chair or something. Give us zero mark on the stage presentations. At least we would perform.

This was what I narrated to them using my hand gestures. Everyone thought of giving it a try, but Jenni cut in. Jenni said, "no. We have to win. We just have to. Anywhich way."

"Jenni, accept the reality. We can't do anything about it." John tried to console her.

Jenni ignored his words and said, "Take me to my dad and do as I say."

By doing as she said, we were here on the stage with an uncomfortable expression we were throwing at each other. I refused to believe that Jenni got scared at last moment and just ditched the competition. She was not that kind. But Where is she? We started sweating because of the tension creating among us. Should we just keep playing some random tune and wait for Jenni to come? Or should we just announce that lead singer was taking some time to come on stage, so just have patience? Later I thought that's absolutely stupidest idea I have ever had. We are no celebrity. Why would someone have patience for listening to our music? It's a competition.

I saw that John sighed heavily and picked up a microphone. I knew what he was planning to do right now. He was going to announce that we were gonna quit. Judges may curse us for wasting that much time, but that was the only solution we could find in our mind.

With our heavy heart we started to pack up our instruments, John opened his mouth to speak over the microphone, at that very moment, magic happened.

I can't describe that situation as anything else other than magic. We heard a very beautiful angelic voice which was almost blowing with the wind.

"Walk me home, I don't wanna go all the way alone
Baby would you walk with me home?"

Our heads turned to the left side of the stage. We almost gasped in unison seeing our very familiar, the heart of our band, Jenni. She was standing there wearing a beautiful while full-length gown. Her long wavy brownish hair loosened behind her back. The corner of her lips twitched up making into a satisfactory smile. I almost forgot what situation I was in. I was so immersed into her beauty that when Lola started playing piano I almost startled. I quickly fixed myself on my seat again and concentrated on our performance. I knew now we were still in the running of becoming the champion.

While Lola was playing the tune, Jenni slowly walked into the stage. I didn't know why it felt like she wasn't walking, she was almost floating in the wind.

"3 a.m., you're on my mind once again
I must have been dreaming
Thought I felt your heart beat just then
And I wondered how it would be
If I was your lady and you were my friend
I would put my heart in your hand and it would never end"

She paused now. Then the bridge of the song started. I amazed to see Jenni swaying her hand like ballet dancers while singing,

"Baby would you walk me home?
I don't wanna go all the way alone
Baby would you walk with me home?
Baby would you take my hand?
Come with me now to a special land
Baby would you walk with me home?"

The rest of the performance went on just like that. Jenni almost covered the whole stage while singing. Who would say she got her legs broken? 'Amazed' would be just an understatement for describing how I was feeling that moment. Jenni, you inspired me to an extreme level. I just learnt a lot from you. The whole performance I couldn't take my eyes off her. I was seeing a different Jenni that moment. It seemed to me that her voice and the aura she was making around her was the most graceful thing I had ever seen in my life.
