It had been 5 months since Kaya had gone on a date with Kyle and they had been a couple ever since.
Kyle loved Kaya.
Kaya loved Kyle.
...Right?
But she couldn't help but think about Sid all the time.
She hadn't seen him around for a while.
The last time had been when they all went out to eat.
It had been really awkward because Sid had done nothing but staring at Kyle.
Kaya still remembered the horrible feeling.
She asked herself if he was alright, if he was hurt, if she had hurt him, if she was the reason why he went away.
Her head felt as if it would explode in the next minute.
Johnny had told her over and over again that it was normal for Sid to dissapear from time to time suddenly.
He just needed space and time for himself sometimes he had said.
But Kaya wasn't sure about that.
It might have been so the last times he went away but this time it must have been something else.
She felt it.

Kyle could barely walk through the front door.
Kaya had to help him.
The alcohol in his veins had already affected him so much that he couldn't speak a word properly anymore.
"What did you do to yourself?", she asked shaking and stroked his cheek softly.
He tried to say something but instead he just made a weird noise.

She tried her best to help him upstairs and after an hour she finally had him lying on his bed.
She dropped on the floor exhausted.
Kaya knew why he was doing this to himself.
She knew what he went through.

He had taken her on a date the other day and said he wanted to show her something.
She remembered how they went into the hospital and how they walked down the ugly, empty hallway until they reached a little room.
She remembered the colorful walls and the flowers by the window.
But most of all she remembered the little girl in the white little bed that he introduced to her as his sister.
Dianne.
Kaya knew Dianne was sick and she knew how much Kyle suffered from it.
But she also knew he destroyed himself.

Kyle looked at her.
"I'm sorry" he stuttered and tried to take her hand.

His steps on the street seemed incredibly loud to him, only a little bit more quiet than his pounding heart.
His mind was clear, his look was straight.
He took a deep breath.
He was going to tell her.
He was going to tell Kaya.
He was going to tell her how he felt about her and why he had hidden it.
He was going to tell Johnny how he worked for being clean.

Sid was going to go home and clear things up.
