A pale, tired and weak looking brunette stepped into the living room.
Sid would have loved to jump up and just hug her for ages but something told him that Kyle wouldn't really appreciate that.
Why was he sitting there doing nothing though?
Great boyfriend.
Sid pulled a face when he thought of the fact that the disgusting man next to him was her boyfriend.
He didn't even know what he had and that, that was what made him angry.
Sure, Kyle had never said that nor had he treated Kaya disrespectfully around them but something about him seemed extremely wrong and his good behaviour looked nothing but fake to Sid."You alright Siddy?" Johnny pulled him back into reality.
"Yea" Sid nodded "I...uhm...I just need a glass of...water".•
Kaya sat on the floor lost in thoughts.
She had thought about the few weeks that had passed since Sid had arrived back home.
To be more precisely she had thought about nothing but Sid.
All she wanted was to hug him and- no.
She shook he head to get rid of that thought.
She loved Kyle, this was just a stupid thought.
Kyle was her boyfriend and Kyle was the one who was supposed to be in her head.
She stared at the colorful Stones poster on her wall and her thoughts drifted away, back to the moment when she had first talked to Sid.
She remembered how they had both lied on the ground laughing, how they-Kaya frightened when the door was suddenly opened harshly.
"KAYA"
Kyle ran towards her, pulled her up and shook her fiercely.
"KAYA, KAYA"
Kaya couldn't even make a noise.
She was terrified as he fell on the in front of her screaming and crying.
She lied her hand on his back.
"Kyle, what-"
Kyle interrupted her with another scream.
Tears streamed down his face.
She tried to calm him again by stroking his back but nothing worked.
He kept on crying and screaming words that were nowhere near understandable. When his screaming stopped and only quiet sobs were filling the room she took a deep breath.
"Did you drink?"she sounded way less calm than she intended to.
Kyle shook his head.
"It's-" he could barely talk properly "It's-" he swallowed his last words.
He just couldn't say them.
"It's...the hospital called" he gulped.
His breath smelled like alcohol.Kaya was confused.
The hospital? Why would the hospital call?
But then suddenly something popped up in her head.
An ugly, horrible thought rumbled in her mind and, no matter how hard she concentrated on losing it, it wouldn't go away.
"No" her voice barely had any tone.
"Is it-"Kyle started screaming and crying loudly again.
Only this time, his words were clear.
"DIANNE, DIANNE, DIANNE"Dianne.
The lovely little girl with the happy eyes .
No.
There was no way she could be gone.
It just wasn't possible in Kaya's mind.
Her eyes.
Kaya couldn't imagine those eyes empty and lifeless.
They were so full of energy that one look in them was enough to convince everybody that she would make it.
She couldn't be gone.
She couldn't.
Not Dianne.________________________
