"Kaya!"
A soft voice reached her ear and she felt a hand stroking her arm.
"Huuh?", she slowly opened her eyes and immediately regreted it.
The bright light on the nightstand made her head feel like it was about to explode.
Sid sat next to her on his bed and looked at her.
"You passed out", he said quietly and handed her a glass of water and an aspirin.
She took it thankfully and slowly sat up.
"How come?", she drank a huge sip of water and swallowed the pill.
"I guess you were really exhausted and fucked up because of our talk and stuff", he looked down and nibbled on his lower lip.
"Nah" she replied quietly. They just remained silent for a moment and both got lost in their thoughts.
Kaya thought of the stuff that happened before she passed out and immediately grinned.
Sid looked at her.
"What's so funny?" he grinned back.
"Nothing", she smirked, "Nothing at all"•
Johnny jumped when Kaya entered the living room, followed by Sid.
"You're so pale" was all he could say.
She knew she looked horrible.
She had looked into the mirror in Sid's room before they went downstairs.
She looked like a ghost and her messed up hair didn't really make it better.
"Wanna eat something? Do you need a drink? A glass of water? Do you want medicine? Do we need to call an ambulance?Do you want some of our pizza? Or wait the pizza is cold we can oder new. Or we can cook you something new. Yea that would be way better. We can make soup or rice or noo-".
"JOHNNY!", Kaya interrupted him laughing, "I'm fine I just took a pill and had a glass of water."
"Oh", Johnny looked like a lost little puppy.
She laughed even more.
Paul and steve joined her.
Sid just grinned to himself like he always did.
Steves funny laugh made it even worse and even Johnny started laughing.
Kaya wondered how Sid managed not to laugh.
She wasn't sure if he just didn't because he found it cooler or if he only laughed once in three weeks.
Still for some reason she found it made him even more interesting. After who knows how long they finally stopped.
Only Paul was still giggling a little.
"Maybe she needs, you know, to go outside a little..." Sid said quietly.
"Uhm...yea that might be...it" she heard herself say hoarsely.
Johnny eyes had some kind of knowing look.
"Why don't you go with her, Sid?", he held back a smirk.
"Sure.", Sid tried his hardest to sound casual but if you knew him well enough you could hear a spark of excitement in his voice.•
The two of them had walked down the dark street in silence for almost an hour when Sid suddenly stopped walking.
She felt her heart beating loud.
"Do you ever somehow ask yourself why things are how they are? I mean maybe things aren't how I think they are. Maybe they are different. Maybe that changes from person to person. Maybe it's an illusion. It's a quite scary thought isn't it? Like, I mean, even animals see everything different but it doesnt change the earth's look itself it's all in our heads. But what does the world really look like? Like, I don't think anyone really-..."
He stopped talking and looked away as
Kaya looked at him.
She didn't expect Sid say something like that out of the blue, yet he spoke the things she was thinking often.
"Yea...", she replied quietly without taking her eyes from him, "Quite often".
He smiled at her.
"It's a mad world, Kaya"
Hearing him say her name made her somehow feel warm.
"I guess so"They walked for a few minutes until Sid eventually came really close to her hand and took it carefully, almost like it was fragile.
Shivers were sent down her spine and she was glad he couldn't see her grinning in the dark.
Kaya started shivering.
She didn't notice how cold it had gotten .
Suddenly she felt a leather jacket around her shoulder.
Sid had wrapped it around the both of them.
It was quite good that it was so large.
The darkness around them filled their silence until Sid broke it again.
Kaya?"
"Hmm?"
"It would be sad if you were an illusion."•
