Frankie :
"Okay. This is now or never Frankie." I started to talk to myself.
A part of me was begging me to stay, otherwise known as my wolf, Alessandra.
The other part of me was excited and thrilled that we could run and never come back.
Nobody would even notice. Which is a really good thing.
Are you sure you want to do this? I asked sandy and she didn't say anything for what seemed like an eternity.
I am 100% sure. Alessandra tried to sound reassuring but she hesitated to answer.
I ignored it. I didn't care if she wanted to stay honestly. I just cared if she was going to slowly die because of the distance with her mate.
We don't have- I started to say but, was cut off by her groan.
I want to do this. Sandy said forcedly.
Okay. I reply quickly and start sprinting. I lurch into the air and shift.
Alessandra is now in control and she continues running but, her steps are slightly hesitant.
I usher her on and she nods and this time doesn't hesitate to run faster.
We make it at the boundary of the woods where a highway follows.
This is where the blue moon pack territory ends. As soon as we step on that cement road we're rogues.
No longer a part of this pack.
Alessandra's body begins to shake in fear and utter confusion.
Come on. This is now or never! I yell and she nods but, doesn't move. It's as if she's frozen.
I roll my eyes internally and allow myself to take control in human form.
When I'm in control I pull out clothing from my backpack and pull them on.
I step onto that highway and don't even glance back.
Well, not until I hear the familiar voice of him right behind me. I jump up into the air like a cat and get in a defensive stance.
"If you know what's good for you I suggest you walk away and pretend I died. Tell the alpha a group of rogues shredded me to pieces." I snarl.
He simply laughed and crossed his arms over his bare chest.
"What's in it for me?" He asked with a smirk.
I look around my back pack for a pen and paper. All I find is a napkin and a marker. I scribbled a note onto the napkin.
I hand it over to him.
His smirk turns into a wide grin that looked as if it could've torn his face in half.
"Much obliged Luna." He said roughly and began to walk away and froze mid-step. His head turned halfway to give me a sideways glance.
"Why go rogue when you practically own the alpha and his pack?" He asks knowingly.
"You know why." I stated and watched him turn on his heel and within the blink of an eye he was right in front of me.
The stench of cinnamon and apple blended together right in front of me.
"I still can't believe your willing to let all of this go. Willing to let me take place as the beta of this shit." He said and his breathe tickled my nose.
"Whatever." I mumble and begin to step back but he pulls me in for a kiss.
I push against him but he holds me still.
When he pulls away I slap him hard. A red hand mark visibly forming.
"What the hell?!" I asked accusingly. He chuckled and rolled his eyes.
"You didn't mask your scent dumbass. I just did you a favor." He smirked and licked his lips.
"Just get out of here." I mumble and he follows as told. He's gone and hopefully he does as I say.
I walk the lonely road for miles and miles until I see the familiar sign of the little town me and sandy visited yesterday.
Finally...
Freedom.
