Frankie :

"You fucking 3 million degree hot ball of mass! Let me sleep a little longer!" I groan as I pull my shirt over my face.

Yet, the stupid star won't give up. The light seeps through my thin shirt and  and I'm forced out of my lousy bed.

"You win! Happy?!" I hiss as I get up, "you know I hate you right?" I say directed towards the sun as I straighten my clothes out.

You do know it can't hear or understand you, right? Alessandra asks me as if I'm the stupidest thing alive.

yes, sandy...I know. I say sarcastically and while I retie my shoe laces.

When I'm done making myself look as presentable as I possibly can with these rags I take a tentative step out of the room.

Silently praying I didn't wake up late. Again. I take a quick glance at the clock hanging on the wall across my room.

Just in time! Exactly 7:00!

Must be my-

It's your birthday, dumbass. Alessandra remarks and I do a mental backflip.

Aren't you excited? I'm excited! I shriek and have the biggest smile on my face. Not even Lizbeth can turn this smile upside down.

I hurriedly did my chores to finish before the pack wakes up in an hour.

I felt like the flash. Cleaning up so quickly. Exactly at 8:00 I finished the entire pack house. I beat my record.

We have around 30 minutes; want to...? I trailed off waiting for sandy to reply. I could feel her smiling too.

The town is only 10 minutes away. Maybe we can meet him. Sandy says mischievously. I grin and we walk out of the pack house.

When we're a safe distance we shift and start to push ourselves to go faster. In what should've taken us 10 minutes was a mere 6.

We shifted back into human form. Loud cracks of bones being heard in my ears.

I spotted a basket filled with clothing I refilled earlier. I should've done this last. It would've been a lot easier and less time consuming.

I pulled on the crappiest clothing I found in the basket and started to head towards the small town.

We passed a few humans and werewolves. None of them being my mate. As we walked around for 15 more minutes, I was starting to get really sad.

Well, our time is up. We have to start our way back. I say. Any emotion gone from me. I felt like the last shred of hope and life was completely drained.

Look we didn't see the entire town. We'll try again tom- I cut her off my mentally blocking her out with a make believe wall.

I didn't want to hear sandy. I didn't want this. What did I do to deserve this much pain? Was I not a good daughter?

Was I not being grateful enough? Was it because of that time I squished the helpless worm on accident when I was eight?

All these questions as to why my life was hell kept coming up as I ran to the pack house.

Maybe, I don't have a mate. I'd be too much of a hassle? Maybe the moon goddess forgot to pick someone for me and she's working on it right now?

When I finally got to the pack house I stepped inside and saw that maybe...a quarter of the pack was in a frenzy.

"Where is she?!" I heard Alpha Hollis growl. I furrowed my brows. This is going to be interesting. I was waiting for Lizbeth to show herself and go up to him if this was alpha Hollis' mate he was looking for.
