Ch.20 She's Changing

Tate

It's been a few days since the fight between Stiles and Scott, to be honest I think Scott have listened to Stiles heartbeat. That's what I did and he wasn't lying, Stiles had no choice but to kill Donovan.

I was sitting in class when I saw a girl run past the door and I got the urge to follow her so I asked to use the bathroom and went done the hall after her. I ran around the corner and before I knew it the Dread Doctor had me in a lock hold as if to snap my neck, I looked at the girl and she was in the same hold. Seconds after I saw Malia come bolting down the hall and freeze when she sees us, I wanted to change to a Phoenix but it wasn't working. I looked at Malia and saw pure terror in Her eyes and everything went black as I heard two snaps.

I ran by Tate's side as her body went limp and the Doctors walked away..

"Tate... Tate you have to wake up" I said letting a few drops of tears roll down my checks. She can't be dead.

"This can't be happening... This isn't real" I shook Her to wake Her up as I held a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't touch me" I growled and flashed my were-coyote as at Mason.

"We have to get her out of here.." He said running to my car, I picked Tate's lifeless body up and ran to my car then gently placed Her in the back seat.

"What happened, is she okay" Mason said as I drove to the animal clinic, probably over the speed limit.

"The Dread Doctors killed Her, but there had to be a way to save Her.. This isn't really happening, it's because of the book still.. Isn't it?" he was silent

I pressed harder on the gas pedal until we finally made it to the clinic. I didn't know who to call but I knew that I couldn't tell our pack. So I called Brett, and Theo.

"Help me get her inside, Brett and Theo are gonna be here any minute" I said picking Tate up and Mason rushed to out the doors. We ran the operating table and placed Her down.. A few minutes later the guys got here.

"What the hell happened?!" Brett ran in first

"Tate! She had to be okay, who did this" Theo ran to her side and looked like he was about to cry or kill someone..

"It was the Dread Doctors.. I don't even know why she was in the hall, I was chasing this girl in my history class.. They killed Her too" I said walking next to her. But all a sudden she burst into flames and we walked back so we didn't get burned. We all looked at each other confused.

"Guys, She a Phoenix.. When a Phoenix dies it burst into flames and the changes into a new bird.. Stronger, more beautiful, and more powers. Maybe that's what is happening to her, she might not be dead.." Brett said, he probably learned that from his Alpha.

"Will she remember anything?" I asked looking at her.

"I don't know..."

"Then we'll wait, cause I don't want to leave her here" Theo said not looking away from her.

"We're not leaving either.. And no one tells Scott or Stiles" I said crossing my arms.. We didn't need them getting evolved, not Now because of what recently happened between them..

After a few hours of no one saying anything and watching Tate burn, finally the flames went out. But she didn't look like herself. She had brownish red hair with grey eyes, she also used to be the same height as Theo but now the top of her head wound barely reach his nose...
