Hi all! This is the sequel to 'The Lores of Lyra - Rising Star' which can be found complete on my profile. If you have ventured on this story instead, then here's the synopsis of the first book:

At an abandoned tower in the city of Pavo, two baby girls are born. Elder GARNET and Elder ERRAI oversee the birth and are surprised that there are two children. That was not what was foretold. Panic rises between the two elders, but it’s decided that the plans will continue, regardless. With a heavy heart, Garnet slits the mother’s throat. He looks into the eyes of the two baby girls, and a spontaneous idea strikes him. He asks a guard to take the children away to kill them.
MIRIAM HERTZ, 16, is a polite child with a good upbringing. She lives in Kokab with her mother VERONICA HERTZ. Due to a mysterious illness, she is forced to stay within the Villa Hertz. She is looking forward to meeting her mother’s new boyfriend, STEVEN JOHANSSON. She acts as the perfect daughter, but during dinner with her mother and Steven, she recognizes the signs of an attack coming. Attempting to leave the room, she’s hit with the most vicious and life threatening attack she has ever experienced. Johansson is a doctor and tries to help the best he can, but the bruises and wounds that occur, seemingly at random, confuse him to no end.
ANNABELL FORRESTER, 16, is raised at the Forrester Orphanage in Hydra. She wakes up, beaten and tied to a pipe in a basement. As she tries to relax and let her abnormal fast healing abilities work, she thinks back on how she got captured in the first place. She had been researching her own healing abilities after one of The Elders had shown interest in her. Breaking into a restricted part of the local library, she found a book, which reveals the truth about the five elders. While reading, she was interrupted and captured by guards.
JOSHUA MALLOCK, 17, is the son of the guard that took the two girls away sixteen years ago. He saves Annabell from her imprisonment by taking out her guards and dragging her along with him, much to the dismay of Annabell.
Miriam wakes up in pain, and she feels guilty about ruining her mother's dinner, especially when she sees a heartbreaking scene between Steven and her mother. Steven is sorry, but he can’t do anything to help Miriam because he doesn’t understand it. She stays in bed for most of the day, but boredom takes over and she decides to make her way to the library.
BLAKE JOHANSSON, 18, is a charming and handsome guy and also Steven’s nephew. He is introduced to Miriam. Not used to being around people her own age, she is instantly intrigued by the slightly older Blake. Miriam is afraid that Blake will think of her as a freak because of the bruises and scars on her body. Blake explains that this is not the case, and together they sit reading in silence.
Joshua and Annabell are on the run. Joshua can see that Annabell is exhausted and reluctantly stops to lead them to a safe tree, where they can hide and rest. In front of the tree, he mixes a few components with lion dust. He sprays both of them to mask their scents and leads Annabell into the tree, speaking words that she doesn’t recognize. Annabell resents him, and insults Joshua as much as she can. She demands answers from him. Joshua tells her about a diary that his father left him. When they have regained some strength, they continue their journey. Unfortunately, the guards still manage to catch up and drive them over the edge of a massive waterfall.
Miriam wakes up coughing water and gasping for air. Steven Johansson examines her and is surprised to see that her lungs are filled with water. He pumps it out, and by mere luck she is saved. He orders her to rest for the day and leaves her alone. After Miriam has rested, she finds the book from the library and starts reading. The book about the history of Astron. It tells of a war between the Stars and the Black Holes which had been shielded off from the public eye. It speaks of a prophecy, but there are pages torn out of the book. On shaky legs, she gets escorted to the library, where she starts searching for the missing pages. Finding nothing, she goes back to her room. On her way there, she stumbles past Blake’s room where he finds her and escorts her back to her own room.
