Chapter 5

Chapter 5 - Marie

Since Alex and I last talked on skype, I was suggesting to either break up with him or stay with him. I was going to but the thing that happened with his brother I couldn't break his heart any deeper. Even though Alex is a guy, he's sensitive. Was having an affair with a teacher behind his back bad? I mean he's never going to find out. He's touring while I'm studying. We can only talk through technology. Also people don't even know I'm dating someone in a band. So I don't have to worry about people telling him. I mean, who could?

"You need help?" Hunter asked, as he trailed his way towards me. I tried my best not to blush but it was impossible. He's too attractive. 

"No, but maybe after," I whispered to him. I was in English class with a whole set of students so making out in the middle of class wasn't the best idea. Hunter slyly smiled at me as he made his way towards a student who was raising his hand. I bit my lip and looked down at my paper. We have to write a summary about our best moments in high school. And so far I was stuck. I tried searching through my brain for the best moments in high school. I smiled as I thought of one. I wrote down on my paper. As a person, you always know that someone is staring at you. I looked through the corner of my eye at the side of me. There sat a brown haired boy, looking at me. I fully turned my attention to him.

"What?" I asked.

"What's going on between you and Mr. David?" He asked. 

"Nothing."

"So I'm just going to have to pretend the smile he just gave you wasn't real?" 

I narrowed my eyes at him. "There's nothing going on between Mr. David and I. Isn't dating a teacher against the school rules anyway?" I asked him. He just continued to stare at me. "What is your name anyway?"

"Jacob," he answered. "And you're Marie."

"How do you know who I am?"

"Please, everyone knows who you are."

I continued to stare at him. "What?"

"You're dating Alex Gasbarf from All Time Low, right?"

"It's Gaskarth and yes I am. How do you know that?"

Jacob sighed and leaned back in his chair. "Aimee practically told everyone in school." 

I silently cursed Aimee in my mind. "You don't even know him," I said. Jacob snorted. 

"Of course I know who he is. His band's EP is selling greatly right now. You have to be living under a rock to not know who All Time Low is," he said. I glared at him.

"Smartass."

He simply shrugged. "I try." 

"Marie and Jacob, please stop talking. The rest of the class is working on their summary. You two should too," ordered Hunter. I could hear the tease in his voice. For the next few minutes, I wrote down a list of great adventures I had in high school. I'll write it into a summary later. Suddenly, the bell rang, making me jump a little. 

"Marie, I would like to see you after class," Hunter said. I heard Jacob sneer. 

"Have fun," he said. "But not too much fun." He smirked before walking off. I literally wanted to slap him so hard. Hunter walked past me and closed the door. He turned around and smiled at me. 

"So let me see your paper," he instructed. 

"Wait, we're actually doing work? I thought we were going to make out," I said. He smirked. 

"We'll do that later," he whispered. I blushed. He walked across to the front of the room and sat down in his chair by his desk. He patted his lap. I smiled and walked over and sat. I could smell his sweet scent. It made me feel sorta dizzy.
