Chapter 7 - Marie

Getting hit by that car was a blur. I barely remembered anything, how it felt like or what I saw. But I remembered what I did or rather what I saw before I got hit. Alex has been cheating on me. I know I'm being a hypocrite here, but it's wrong.

"Marie!"

I smiled at the person that just called my name. A few minutes ago, I landed in Boston. I called Jeff to come pick me up. He looked so terrified that I was in a wheelchair. I explained what happened on the car ride to Harvard. I guess everyone found out about the car accident because as soon as I tried stepping out of the car, with my broken leg, everyone came rushing towards me, helping me in my wheelchair. I was kind of fluttered that people I never met in the school, I actually cared at me. It felt nice.

"Alright kids, let have Ms. Chambers have her space," Mr. Johnson came into view. "You alright, Ms. Chambers?"

I nodded faintly at him. "I'm fine."

"Since you're not in a very good condition right now, you're not going to be attending classes all this week, alright?"

"Okay. Can I go to my dorm now?"

"Of course."

I wheeled my way around the hundreds of kids that gathered around me. They all gave me sentimental smiles. I honestly felt like a celebrity. It was weird. My arms were already tired when I reached my dorm door. I opened up the door and wheeled myself in. Aimee's face lit up as she saw me.

"Marie! Oh my gosh, you're alive!" She threw her arms around me as carefully as possible. I hugged her back.

"Hi," I smiled. I wheeled my way over to my bed.

"So what really happened?" Aimee asked, crossing her arms over her chest. I tired getting up on my bed but Aimee had to help me. She sat across from me and crossed her legs.

"Do I really have to tell you?" I asked. Aimee nodded her head.

"Yes, yes you do."

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "Well, you already know I wanted to visit Alex. I saw them perform and everything and when I went backstage to surprise him. He already had a surprise for me."

Aimee's face lit up. "Aw! What was it? But how did you end up in a wheelchair?"

"Aimee, Alex is cheating on me with his ex-girlfriend, Lisa. They both kissed. I saw them," I said. Aimee's face fell.

"Are you serious?"

I nodded my head, a few tears slipping from my eyes. I quickly wiped them away. "But the worst part is that I'm cheating on him too."

"...what?"

"Promise me not to tell anyone?" I pleaded. Aimee nodded her head, confused.

"I'm dating Mr. David."

"What?"

"Don't tell anyone, okay?"

"Marie, who are you?! You can't date a teacher, that's wrong!" Aimee protested.

"I know, I know it's wrong. But I can't help it, he's a attractive," I blushed. Aimee glared at me.

"But Marie, you can't date him. It's against the school rules to date a teacher," Aimee whispered harshly.

"I know," I said. "But like I said before, I can't help it."

Aimee huffed and crossed her arms over her chest. "I can't believe you're doing this." She shook her head and got up from the bed.

"Where are you going?" I asked.
