Lindsey's P.O.V

With Noah's breath on my neck and my head on his shoulder, I couldn't stop thinking about this stupid world. I wish father would have never met this stupid group! I couldn't help but cry and think about everything as Carl was ranting. Come to think of it I didn't hear a word he said.

Why is Noah doing this? He stops at a private corner outside the Inn and puts me down. "I didn't ask for you to do that!" I yelled. "Well you never ask people to do anything!" He said. I stare down at my fingers and he reaches in and takes my hands. "Lindsey I don't want anything to happen to you." Noah said timidly, "I love you."

My eyes widened at the sound of those words. "What?" I said. "I didn't want to tell you before because I know it's crazy. I barely met you and here I am, cupid struck." He smiled at me. I tried to speak but nothing would come out. He came closer and pressed his lips onto mine. His soft hand caresses my back as he tilts his head and goes in a little deeper.

My emotions are so confused. I like him, I do like him, but then again I don't. All this time I spent with him did make me feel something, but just thinking back to it seems like forcing yourself to swallow something you don't like. I stop and pull back. "No!" I say sternly.

His stares blankly at me with a confused face, "Don't you like me?" He says brushing his fingers against my cheeks.

"I do Noah but- Idk."

"Then kiss me." He says

I couldn't help it. My body moved on its own. My lips locked to his and I sat on his lap. He presses my waist against his and twirls me around, my back against the wall. As the kiss gets steamier I grasp on to his shirt but he lifts my hands up and holds them against the wall.

His soft lips move from my cheeks to my neck and down to my collarbone. "Noah, wait, wait Noah." I whisper. He stops and sits up looking at my face. "I can't, we've just met eachother, My father would kill me if he found out."

He lets out a small chuckle, "Then it can wait." He was holding on to my waist when we hear footsteps across the concrete.

Carl stands there, eyes wide open, like a child who saw a ghost or something. I push Noah off as I stand up and dust myself off. "What the hell are ya'll doing?" He says sternly.

Noah darts at him, "What you mean what the hell are we doing!? I'm comforting her!" He stands two inches away from his face, "Something you're unable to do."

Carl looks at him straight in the eye like a hawk, " Are you smothering me?" He says clenching his shaking fists as if he was holding back from throwing a punch. He was standing straight with his chest puffed and his chin up as if he was looking down at Noah, but he was taller than Carl so his pupils faced up.

I get in between the two and push Carl away, "Better not touch my boyfriend!" I shout as I turn and get a good grip on Noah's left hand, both of their face expressions in shock. I hold his hand tight and wrap my other arm around him making it nice and clear that we were dating.

He never really said the words or should I say asked. Come to think of it, I don't exactly know why I did that. I acted so quick and just looking at Carl's face pissed me off even more, I guess I did it without knowing my feelings.

"Well then." Carl says taking a few steps back while putting his hands in the pocket of his jeans, "Then there was no need for me to be worried about anything." He begins to stutter a bit as if he were embarrassed, "I thought he was gonna do some- I'll just- It was a misunderstanding I suppose."

He turns around rubbing the back of his head and heads inside the Inn without saying another word. It wasn't until the door was fully shut that I let out a deep breath of relief. Now that Carl's gone what am I going to do with Noah?

"So um, boyfriend you said?" I turn around around to see Noah scratching his head and folding his arms. I didn't want to say yes and I didn't want to say no. Instead I just turn around and leave without saying anything.

"Hey woah, woah, woah, wait." He tugs on my arm, "I wanna go for a walk." He says wrapping his arms around me. I could feel the warmth of his body embracing mine, this was no ordinary hug. It felt too soft and timid, it was one of those I love you hugs. The kind that make you wanna tug them over and kiss them.

But that wasn't the case with Noah, I certainly did not want to kiss him again, I just wanted to drift off alone and kill myself. Noah's hands slide from my waist to my hand and slowly intertwines his fingers with mine. Like zippers being zipped tight together.

"C'mon, I wanna take you somewhere beautiful before the sun rises way too high and it gets hot." He smiles tugging me as he leads the way.  Instead of crossing the street from the Inn, like we always do, he takes me behind the Inn to an unfamiliar place.

We pass through a series of sharp rocks and twigs, the soil was dry and there was a big boulder shaped rock that had guts spewing down from a walkers skull it had penetrated. As Noah leads deeper the tress fade beginning to reveal the landscape and the earths horizon.

"I want you to close your eyes from this point on." I shut my eyes and begin to slowly walk, following his guide. What seemed like a quiet atmosphere soon turned into splashing flowing water. Kinda like a river streaming really fast.

I feel him tug me a bit," Open your eyes." He says as he takes my hand once again and holds it tight. I open my eyes to see a beautiful view of trees.

"Wow the horizon is beautiful, and the trees, feels almost as if I was tall as them" I say feeling the nice soft breeze blow against my face. Noah caresses my chin and lowers my head.

"That's because you're over 50 feet high up in the air" he says as I can see a gigantic waterfall flow down from beside me and plunge 50 feet low into the water. I take a few steps back as I get lightheaded and feel my body getting heavy.

"Hey, hey." Noah says extending his arm for me to take, "get a hold of yourself Lindsey, it's ok." I take a deep breath as I take his hand and approach the cliff.

And for the first time in the longest. The world seemed normal once again. All the dead people, the struggles, the nomadic environment.... Mom, they all went away, like if it never happened.
