Alexia

Today was the first day me and Luca would go outside as freshly engaged people. Pretending to be a happy couple, while we were I don't know what exactly.

After that one evening a few days again he had stopped ignoring me and started to be around more often. Had we talked in that time? No. No we did not talk. I woke up the next morning alone in his room. In his bed. Just alone.

That night changed everything or at least something for me and I don't know how to deal with that. With what I am feeling and what I am not feeling. My eyes in the bathroom mirror showed the same emotions I was feeling and I couldn't even hide them.

I was confused and unsure and I could see that. My dark brown hair framed my face in lose curls as i applied my lipstick. I was looking truly beautiful and with the dark red dress Amara had chosen together with me I knew I would look like a princess.

I sighed and closed my eyes for an moment as I placed the lipstick on to bathroom counter. My hands grubbing the edge of it now tightly. I was confused, so confused.

A knock on my door pulled me out of my thoughts and I turned my head toward the bathroom door. "Come in" I yelled, before I left the bathroom. When i stepped into my room I froze. Luca stood in front of my door, which he had just closed behind him.

He too stood frozen in my room as he looked at me, his eyes wide. "Is something wrong" I asked after I had found my voice again, moving closer to him. Luca was wearing an elegant Italian black suit, his white dress shirt hiding the tattoos on his chest and covering everything up.

His tie was red, the same red as my dress. "Mum told me to come and get you, we are about to leave soon" his voice was stained, as if he was holding himself back.

I nodded and walks over to the gold red bottoms that were sitting next to my bed, slipping into them quietly. Luca cleared his throat behind me and I straightened, turning back around and facing him. He had taken a few more steps toward me and now only a few centimetres were separating us.

"You will need this" he said, pulling out a dark blue box. A ring box. "You are going to be my wife, so you need a fitting ring" he opened the box and presented me with the most beautiful engagement ring I could have asked for.

A big oval diamond was seated in the middle of a probably white gold band, which was covered by small diamonds. It wasn't eye catching. It wasn't too big. It was the perfect ring. One I would have wished for.

Luca reached for the ring and pulled the delicate piece of jewellery out and before closing the box and trowing it on my bed. He held his other hand out for me and after a short moment of hesitation I placed my much smaller and softer hand in his big one.

His finger wrapped softly around mine as he pushed the beautiful ring on my finger. A ring that would mark me as his in the eyes of everyone. My heart started to race, but I wasn't sure if I was scared or excited.

But deep down I knew the answer to it. I could have run. I could have left them behind and hid. They wouldn't have found me. Yeah I would have left my new family behind. That would have meant never seeing them again.

Could I have done that? I don't know, but I had the chance. Yet I never considered it. Because deep down I knew that all of them were right. Me and Luca were stronger together, because we belonged together.

I was acting like all of this hasn't been my choice, like I did not wanted to marry Luca and couldn't have done anything else. But I want just son silly little mafia princess. I was one of the deadliest assassins alive. I could have run.

But I choose to stay and they all knew it. Because deep down I wanted to marry Luca. I wanted to look into his blue eyes and say 'i do'. I wanted him to kiss me again and fuck, I wanted to sleep with him. I wanted Luca DeAngelo. Not only physically, but also emotionally.
