Anger pounds inside my head, asking to be be let out. Or is it the hangover? Yes. It's both. I press my hand to my forehead and lean against the tree. Me and Peyton continue to glare at each other, and I can feel the tension building with every second. Without thinking, I fly at her, arms outstretched. She sees is coming though and grabs my wrists. I hiss in frustration. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I open them to see Peyton lunging at me. I gasp as we collide and fall to the ground. So much for deep breaths. My head is throbbing, the wknd has been knocked out of me, and my stomach is threatening to throw everything up. Damn it. You really need to hold your tongue Elise. I think to myself as I roll from under Peyton, trying to catch my breath.
"Why can't you just like him?" Peyton asks, raising her voice as she lunges at me again. She grabs my shoulders and slams me to the ground again.
"That's not the way it works! And why does my opinion matter so much?" I snap back, throwing her off. I cuff her in the back of her head, and she whirled around, fingers outstretched. I yelp as she grabs a lock of my black hair, and allows herself to fall, putting all of her wait on that poor piece of hair. "To far, to far!" I gasp, yanking my head back. "Whatever. It doesn't hurt that bad-" Peyton snorts. I reach forward and grab a clump of her blond hair and fall down. Giving her a taste of her own medicine. "Oh my god let go Elise!" She says. I feel someone's hands wrap around my shoulders and drag me up. I spin around. Aidan. Anger wracks my pounding head once again.
"Don't touch me!" I spat, wrenching myself free from his grip. "Not bad right?" I say to Peyton, rubbing my scalp.
"Oh shut up." She snaps, standing up.
I'm sorry. I really am. I still feel like I'm gonna vomit, but at the moment I just need to be alone and nurse my hangover. I turn around and stalk away. Well, I try and stalk away but it's more of a stagger. I'm just about out of the main yard when I freeze. My stomach clenches and I can feel something rising in my throat. I keel over and that is when I throw up, everywhere.
