"What do you think Hun? Was it worth like, six of your day?" The peppy stylist named Anna asks. I look in the mirror at my shiny, freshly died a soft silver hair. It actually took four hours but I'll let Anna have that one. "Definitely." I say, smiling as she takes the black sheet off of me and allows me to stand. I already paid so I just sit down and text Blake, asking if he can pick me up. I would take my self home, or ask Peyton but I still don't know where my car is and I still think that Peyton wants to be alone. I assume she's in our dorm. I'll talk to her later today. I think to myself. My phone buzzes in my hand an I read a text from Blake, saying that he'll be there in 10 minutes. I watch out the window for Blake. The moment his car pulls up, I grab my purse and push open the salon doors and rush down the sidewalk to his car. I didn't tell him about my choice of "going gray" so I'm nervous to see his reaction. He's staring off into space when I reach his car so I knock on his window. He turns and does a double take as he unlocks the door. I pull it open and plop into the seat. "Damn." He says, still staring at my hair. "Yeah?" I say as I shut the car door. He pushes the gas pedal and the car starts to drive. "It's sexy." He says. I roll my eyes and smile as happiness spreads throughout my body.
"So I don't look old?"
"Naaahh." He says smiling, his eyes on the road. "Where are we going?" I ask.
"Unless you want to go back to campus, I was thinking we could just spend the rest of the day out. Together." He says, gripping the wheel a little tighter. "That sound good." I say, running my hand through my silvery hair, a big smile across my face.
