Fifth Generation

Chapter 1

Sapphire's POV

"WAKE UP SAPPHIRE. IT'S TIME TO GO TO YOUR NEW BELOVED SCHOOL" A loud voice yelled which belongs to my adopted Auntie from downstairs making my sensitive ears ring like a bell being smashed by a metal. I groaned at the sound but pulled myself out of my bed.It could be worse than just yelling. I tiredly stretched my arms and legs and attempted to open my morning eyes. My gaze landed to my calendar and saw that it was indeed the date that I would go to that damn school to find people like us. Oh wait, I don't even know if you could call us people. I would explain that later. I'm Sapphire by the way and I'm 19. Too old for school? Nah.

As I finished showering, which is quite fast, I put on my plain shirt, Jeans and a pair of sneakers. Trashy? I know.  It's part of the plan because I don't need to attract some attention. I could be beautiful, but I really don't want jocks picking up on me. Anyway, I put on some brown contacts because anyone who doesn't know me would freak out if they saw my eyes.  It is because its true color is blue with orange and the other eye is silver with dark brown. See? Who wouldn't freak out? I finished putting the contacts and I put on my glasses. The contacts are not for a poor eyesight, It is for covering the true color, the glasses is for the nerdy thing. I'm trying to look nerd here. 

I run downstairs towards the dining room and found my Auntie and Adopted Uncle sitting at the table. I grabbed a seat and start munching on my breakfast. Auntie makes an amazing breakfast, as always.

"Ready for school? I know you are." My Uncle said pertaining to the new Academy.

I rolled my eyes because I know that they knew how much I hate going to school. I stopped going since I turned 16 because it is my first shift and 'the biggest revelation' of my life as my Auntie said.  So you see, I'm a werewolf. And apparently, Half vampire too. An elemental one I may say, which means I have different powers than normal werewolves.  My Uncle and Auntie are both werewolves, mortal enemy of vampires.When they learned about me being a vampire, they accepted me. It was quite  a struggle being half- vampire, half werewolf at first but I managed to get the hang of it. It is not impossible to bear a child like me though it is painful and very very very rare but my 'parents' managed to create one. How? I did not know. Wanna know? Go find my parents and Good luck too.  I never had the chance to do so. They're gone.  Poof! Turned to dust. Means dead.

"Geez. You know how I hate it. Once I found all the werewolves in there, I would get the hell out of that hell hole." I exclaimed muttering curses here and there. My Uncle and Auntie just laughed at me and continued teasing me. I am never like this infront of everyone. Just the two of them. They raised me like their own. Gotta love them.

I finished my meal and said my goodbye's to them. They bid me good luck to my mission. Yeah, they knew about that. I was assigned by the alpha of our pack named 'Black moon' Pack. It's the biggest one because it is the only pack for werewolves. -,- We only had one pack for every werewolves. And vampires had only one pack too. Cliche'.

I made my way towards the new school called 'White Light Academy'. It was only a few minutes away from our house which is quite an advantage already. I fixed my backpack in my back, of course, and entered the school. It was huge as I've expected. The building is white. So white it can almost hurt my eyes but luckily, I had contacts.  I put on my 'weak' face and went towards the building. Students are everywhere and no one even paid attention to me. I smirked internally as I liked being unnoticed. I got my schedule and went for my first class. Which is history. Quite boring actually. I like learning but I don't like school. Does that make any sense? Yes it does. 

I entered the classroom and as expected, students in there snapped their eyes towards me. I can feel their judging looks and again, I rolled my eyes internally. I took a sit at the back of the room. For some reason, No one is sitting at that spot so I took it.  The teacher came a few minutes after I came and he started the lesson. I already knew about that lecture so I tuned out. I'll go start my tactics in finding werewolves later, in break time. I had no idea how to find them because  this is my biggest mission so far. Usually, my mission would be "kill this person, Kill that man." or something similar to killing. I only kill vampires. Bad ones. I don't kill people. Werewolves doesn't kill people. Some Vampire does. This first period is boring because first, I haven't found any werewolves. Or vampires. They told me that I would smell them and knew instantly that it was them. But the only thing I was able to smell was stinking socks and armpits.

The time passes by and before I knew it, it was my second period, which is  Carpentry. We are able to choose one subject to go to and I chose this because I like it. Second, because I knew that no girl would go in that kind of Subject. So I happily made my way towards the assigned room knowing I won't encounter any bitchy girls but my mood dropped when I saw a girl in there already. I sighed. I should've expected this.The only empty seat available is the seat beside that girl. I trudged towards it and sat quietly and waited for the teacher. I felt the girl move but didn't said anything. Neither did I.

The first task is easy, just gonna make a structure out of a wood. So I started my work. I was so into working at the masterpiece that I sighed in disappointment when I heard the bell. It is lunchtime. People from the classroom came piling out of the room. I noticed the girl staying back, probably waiting for me to go out but when she realized I'm taking my time, she hurried outside with her head down. I shrugged my shoulders and went out of the room towards the cafeteria.

As I was entering the cafeteria doors, I bumped into someone. I instantly smelled a distinct smell and I knew that it was a Werewolf. Or werewolves since it was strong. Very strong.

"Hey!. Watch where you're going!" A voice said. I heard the cafeteria goes silent. I turned my eyes towards the voice and saw a tanned girl with black hair, make- ups and was wearing a dress or something. I don't know what it is called because I do not wear that. She had a muscular body in a sexy way.  I saw her with 4 more girls. a short one with curly hair, a tall one with blonde hair? I do not know. a girl with bow in her long wavy hair and another girl wearing a leather jacket matching her white skin and green eyes. The scent is coming from them, I knew that.

It's them isn't it? I asked myself. I mentally smirked at myself. This is a great way to meet them. This would be very interesting.

I did not bother replying. I just stared at them and did a peace sign. They put on a fake smile but I saw the muscular one roll her eyes. Queen bees? They continued on their way and I continued mine. First day and I had already found them. But I have to know what kind of werewolves are them. Or worse, maybe I'm mistaken. Maybe they are a vampire. That white girl with the green eyes sure look like one.

I got my food and looked around in attempt to find an empty table. I saw the girl from the carpentry subject and I made my way towards her table. Why? because it's the only one with space. I am so pre-occupied that I did not even bother to ask if it is okay to sit. I'm bitchy when I'm pre-occupied. The girl seemed surprised at first, as if It was the first time seeing someone in her table but eventually she continues eating.

I looked at her. Might as well ask her about the queen bees.

"Hey..Who are those people?" I asked as I pointed my finger towards the table with the queen bees. She looked at them, then at me, then back to them, then at me. 

"Are you serious? Ohh.. a newbie. Well, they're the queen bees. Normani, the tanned girl, Ally, the short girl, Dinah, the tall girl, Camila, the one with the bow and LAuren, the one with the leather jacket. People admire and fear them. I fear them but I certainly don't admire them. " The girl said and I eagerly listened. She goes on and on and I found myself getting along with her. And there, I know I've made  a friend.

"I'm Emily by the way." She introduced and I smiled. I almost forgot that we did not know each other's name. 

"Sapphire. " I stick my hand out and shook hands with her. She smiled and continued eating. I looked around and exhaled. A new scent caught my nose.  It was coming from the girl.

I looked up and saw her already staring at me..

"Are you..?" She trailed off. I knew what she meant.

"Come with me." I said and we made our ways out of the cafeteria. At the door, I bumped into someone. AGAIN.

A scent caught my nose for the 3rd time. It was different. I like this scent better. What is this? I looked up and saw a guy, staring at me. He had an auburn hair, blue sparkling eyes already staring at me. 

"Are you a..too?" I heard Emily said behind me. The guy nodded still staring at me. 

I find myself hitching my breath. 

This first day is...crazy.
