"That movie fucking sucked ass! It wasn't even fucking scary." I said as me and Alan walked out of the movies. "Yeah, that's true." He laughed and I smiled at him.

We were almost to the car when all of the sudden I felt my arm being jerked and my body being slammed to the ground. I tried to look, but the person was punching me left to right. 'Where the fuck is Alan?!' I tried to scream, but I couldn't. No words would come out. "Well, how about this. You left me and now I got you back. Kiss your life goodbye, you Bitch, because you're coming back now, and you are not leaving!" I knew right then and there who we were dealing with. It was dad.

I finally got enough strength to push him off of me, which made him hit his head against a pole. Making my way up, I frantically looked for Alan. I finally saw him; he was laying on the ground with blood coming out of his nose and looked out of it. "Alan! Come on we gotta go!" I pulled him up, and he snapped out of it. He looked at me, then to my dad, who was still laying on the ground. "Get in the car and dial 911. I'll fend him off as much as I can. Don't come out, no matter what." He looked at me and I looked back at him, scared.

I nodded and got into the car. Picking up my phone, I dialed 911.
Dispatcher: 911, what's your emergency?
Me: I need help! My dad is here beating me and my friend up. Please help me!
Dispatcher: Okay, ma'am, stay on the line with me. Where are you at?
Me: I'm at Universal Movies downtown on Richmond rd. Please get here quick!
Dispatcher: I've sent cops out there to help. They are about ten minutes away. Stay on the phone with me ma'am.

Next thing I knew, my body was being drugged out of the car. I started to scream and that's when I felt the worst feeling you could ever imagine. I looked down to my left rib cage and saw blood coming out. I cried out for Alan as soon as I could speak again. About two minutes later, the cops showed up and arrested dad. "Alan?! Where are you?!" I screamed hoarsly for him.

I felt someone grab my arm and hold me tight. "I'm here, Ashlen. I'm here. The cops are getting an ambulance down here. Stay with me, baby girl. Hold onto my voice." It was Alan. I looked up at him and sighed. "Alan, I'm scared. I-I don't wanna d-die. Not l-like this." I couldn't help but studder. The pain was unbearable. It took everything in me to keep breathing. Alan's grip around me tighten up. "Shh, I'm here. I'm not letting you die. Not ever."

About ten excruciating minutes later, the ambulance finally came. Alan rode with me to the hospital, which I was really grateful they let him. The whole ride there, Alan was singing to me. He never let go of my hand. I felt very safe and comfortable with him. I smiled up at him and said, "Thank you, so much, for being here, Al." He smiled at me and nodded his head. I could tell he was holding back tears. "Is there anyone, besides the guys, you want me to call?" Alan looked at me and took out his phone so he could make a list. I nodded my head yes and said, "Please call the nurse from the school. She always been there for me and is like a mother figure towards me. It'd be crazy not to have her here." He nodded and typed it down.
