Chapter Four
“So you’re saying that Dylan looked like he actually liked seeing you practically naked?” Akari asked slowly with ‘A-are-you-serious’ look on her face. “Girl, have you checked yourself in the mirror lately? And I’m pretty sure Dylan is a red blooded male, of course he’s going to like seeing you practically naked!”
Mimi rolled her eyes and continued walking towards their class. She decided to tell Ari what happened yesterday and thankfully she’s alright today. This is actually rare considering the girl loves drinking herself to oblivion.
“Ari, he’s practically my brother and it’s just gross to think about him that way,” Mimi complained as she sat down on her chair. Ari plopped down on the seat beside her and narrowed her eyes at Mimi.
“Last I checked you’re not related to him and I’m pretty sure he’s not ugly,” Ari stated.
“I’m not saying he’s not attractive,” Mimi countered. “I’m just saying I grew up with the guy and it’s kinda gross to think about him that way.”
“Mimi, look at me,” Ari said, gesturing to her tiny curvish body. “Now look at you.”
“I don’t see the point of this, Akari.”
“Just do it!” Mimi rolled her eyes and looked down at herself. “Okay, so obviously we both know you come second to my beauty but keep in mind that you are not ugly my sister from another mister.”
“I’m not saying I’m not attractive,” Mimi snapped. “Could you please stop twisting my words?”
“I’m trying to make you realize that you are not un-attractive and if it makes you feel better, you’re not the ugly fat friend either,” Ari said before placing her book and notebook on her table.
“And who would that be? You?”
“You insult me. No, my dear idiotic friend, that would be Ansleigh,” Ari said then pointed to the door where there is a tiny girl, smaller than Akari standing watching them. Mimi hadn’t notice her until Ari pointed at her and when she did, the girl squealed and waved at them. Mimi gave the girl an unsure smile before arching a questioning brow at Akari. “She’s a transfer from Wisconsin and she skipped a couple of grades. I sorta saved her from getting her head dunked in the toilet earlier and she’s made it her mission to be my little servant.”
“Seriously?”
“Yep. Oh, she can be your servant too. She said and I quote ‘I owe you my life.’ But back to the original topic, you are not invisible my good friend so yes, Dylan did like what he saw. By the way, do you know what this means?”
“No,” Mimi said plainly.
“Girl, it’s time for you to use that credit card your daddy gave you ‘cause we’re going shopping!”

“Seriously?”
“Yes, seriously,” Mimi answered her mother who seemed shocked at the idea of her going to the mall to shop.
“But you hate shopping,” she pointed out. Must she point out everything?
“I figured I needed more clothes.”
“But you said last week when I told you to go shopping with me that you already have enough clothes.”
“Girly clothes, mother. Girly clothes.”
Her mother squealed and the sound coming from the other end of the phone hurt her eardrum so Mimi moved the phone a couple of inches away from her ear. When her mother’s excitement has toned down a little bit, Mimi deemed it safe for her ear to be put next to her phone.
