Chapter 1

I was walking out of our house to go to Roxy's. I went to knock on the door but she got it before I did.
"Hi Katherine" she said with a smile on her face and a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"Hi Roxy, what have you done?" I asked, worried.
"Nothing, come in," she said while wiping her brown hair out of her face. "Are you coming?"
"Yes". We ran into the small bedroom she pulled at a chest.
"Remember this?" She asked smiling.
"How couldn't I?" I said laughing. She passed the box to me and I opened it. It had all the things we had from our childhood; the red ribbon, a bottle cap, a peace of shimmering blue velvet and a dead rose, then something caught my eye.

It reflected the sun light. So I went to see what it was. It was two gold coins. How did these get in here? How did we get them? I thought then I said
"Roxy, look" she looked then a shocked look went on her face. I couldn't resist I giggled a bit.
"Wow," Her face lit up, "How did these get in here?" she asked
"I don't know," I said confused then I had an idea, "I have an idea let's have one each"
She thought for a moment then said "Great idea"
"Let's go to my place. Take your gold coin and I will take mine"
"Ok"

It didn't take very long because she lives next door and we were running. We were in a hurry, we swung the door open it nearly hit Zac in the face but he caught it before it hit him.
"What are you two up to?" He said with a worry look on his face
"Nothing" I said
"I have a had time believing that" he replied
"We aren't doing anything" Roxy said firmly.
"Connor I need your help with something!" Zac said. Connor came rushing in
"What do you need help with?" Zac whispered something into Connor's ear that made Connor's face lit up. Then next thing we know is that we were on Zac's and Connor's shoulders. I was on Connor's and Roxy was on Zac's. Both of us were screaming trying to get down
"Let us down!" I said laughing
"Put us down!" Roxy said laughing as well. Then the rest of my brothers came to join. Quinn and Luke were tickling Roxy and I on the belly. We were laughing our heads off then eventually they put us down and we ran to my bedroom.

When we got in the room then I shut the door and we pulled out the two golden coins. We weren't talking just staring at the golden coins on the floor. Shining in the sunlight from the window. "What are we going to do with them?" asked Roxy
"I don't know" I replied we sat in silence thinking of what we should do. Well it was silent then Roxy said
"We should keep as a good luck charm" I thought for a moment
"We should do that" I said with a small smile on my face then mama said
"Katherine Roxy needs to go home!"       
"Ok mother! I wish you didn't need to go Roxy"
"Same. Bye Kat"
"Bye Roxy"

At dinner when we were all sitting at the table eating a little bit of meat Quinn said
"Kat what were you doing with Roxy?" "
"Nothing. Why do you ask?" I said trying not to look nervous.
"Because I saw you and Roxy on the floor looking at something. So what is it?"
I'm not going to tell him because:
A) he is my brother,
B) why should I tell him,
C) if I tell him I would tell everyone at the table and
D) I don't have to. This is very annoying about brothers they want to know everything and I mean everything.
I decided not to tell him. Obviously.
"Nothing like I said before"
Why do brothers have to be so annoying? That's a question that I will never get an answer to.
"Are you sure?" said Connor
"Yes" I replied
"Positive?" Said Zac
"Yes" Why do they need to keep asking me all these questions?
"Are you lying to us?" Said Luke. How should I answer this? Of course it would have to be no. Because I don't want them knowing that Roxy and I have a gold coin.
"No" I lied. You try hiding a gold coin from four nosey brothers. It's really hard.
"Can I be excused mother?" I said, after getting tired of the questions.
"Sure you can darling"

When I got my  bedroom I took out the gold coin. I sat there on the floor looking at it as my head had all these questions spinning in it. How did we get it? What does it mean? How did it get in the chest? Is it lucky? These questions probably won't get answered. I got the coin and put it into my pocket and went to sleep.
