Okay, there is a Transformers comic somewhere in which it is part of Cybertronian culture for new sparks to have one or two mentors upon first being created, so that they have guidance in a world unfamiliar to them (it is unfamiliar because they were just born -- duh).
Basically, this is the canon Cybertronian equivalent of a parent.
So, I had a thought: what if I wrote a book, which is a series of scenarios/oneshots in which the reader is the parent/mentor of our favorite characters?
There are two ways in which this could be done, and I want some opinions on it. The first way: follow this comics canon lore and make the reader simply the character's parent-mentor – the character the reader would be parent to would essentially be an adult the whole time, just young and inexperienced. Admittedly, I'm not sure how I would handle this one. The second way: go with fanon lore and make this a single-parent-raising-a-child situation – the reader would be the character's carrier and raise them from a sparkling. I like this one a bit better.
It would be fluff-heavy, obviously, with some angsty moments and tear-jerkers, and the reader for each character would be different in both appearance, alt mode, and personality. I'm gonna write a few of these and see where it takes me. I'll get back to ya'll.
Let me know if ya'll have any thoughts.
See ya'll!!
