Let's talk about characters, specifically the Decepticons, a.k.a. the good guys in this scenario, and we'll start with the big guy himself, Megatron.

This Megatron has a grey, navy, dark grey, and red colorscheme with blue optics and a similar build to his original TFP design – big and strong. He is wise, protective, and ready to fight for what he stands for. However, he is also a medic's worst nightmare: he will refuse to be checked out first if anyone else is injured, and being an ex-gladiator, he often doesn't even realize he's injured and will take a helluva beating before even considering going to a medic, if he ever does.

Soundwave is white and light blueish teal with hints of green and a long, vibrant green ribbon tied around his head, the tails of which almost reach his pedes (he has some kind of datakinesis, which will be explained later). He also has a blue optic visor. This is based on TFP, but he does not have that particular design. He looks like his G1 self, except... narrower, if that makes sense – he's thinner. Personality-wise, he's a little hard to describe. He's witty and sassy, kinda high-strung, and he's clearly the one who runs things in the base, being the Communications Officer. This is not Megatron's base, it's Soundwave's base.

Shockwave is the Head Science Officer of the Decepticons. He's yellow and dark blue with a single blue optic, and he is a very intelligent yet compassionate scientist. However, he is not a fighter in any way, shape, or form. In fact, he is a pacifist – he refuses to fight. It's just as well, because his scientific skills were far more useful within the base. He is very curious about human culture, but is slower to pick it up than Knockout and Breakdown. He's also trying to actually learn English, rather than using a translator. It's slow-going.

Starscream also looks more similar to his G1 self, except his colorscheme is mostly red, with hints of blue and dark grey, and he has blue optics. He's a Cityspeaker who is fiercely loyal to Megatron, and there's a story behind it, which will be revealed when you read the book! MUAHAHAHA!!!! Starscream fills the role of OG Ultra Magnus, but he doesn't have a stick up his ass. In fact, when he first became Megatron's second, he was kinda awkward, but he soon grew into the position, and he's confident now, but not stiff, if that makes sense. He's generally serious, with little tolerance for stupidity, but he allows humor, because sometimes, that's all that keeps us going.

Skyquake and Dreadwing are split-spark twins, with the connection that comes with it. They're two small seekers (who don't look anything like they do in TFP) with an orange and silver and a royal blue and gold colorscheme respectively. Dreadwing is the wild one of the two, often diving in without thinking and making reckless decisions. His weapons of choice are two large daggers that are almost shortswords (relative to his size). His hobbies include causing chaos and fucking shit up. Skyquake, on the other hand, is a lot like original TFP Ultra Magnus. He's the most responsible and level-headed, thinking things through and following a strategy/plan rather than improvising. His weapon of choice is an Odachi sword (again, relative to his size), and he's deadly with it. They're both the youngest on the team, and people also tend to underestimate them due to their size, but both together and apart, they are forces to be reckoned with.

Airachnid was originally a bounty hunter on Cybertron, bringing outlaws and criminals to justice. She joined the Decepticons after the Autobots, namely Arcee, killed someone she cared about, but she doesn't talk much about her past. She has a lilac paint job with some darker purple detailing and yellow optics. Her personality is a bit like original Arcee, but quieter, and with less of a temper.

Knockout and Breakdown are still a thing here – it's not that opposite. Knockout has with a sky blue paintjob and pale, almost pastel orange optics. Breakdown has a green and orange paintjob with one blue optic, (he's missing his right optic, the same one as before), and he's actually the medic in this universe. Knockout tends to run into dangerous situations, not for recklessness, but because he's confident in his skills – he's more logical than Dreadwing, but much looser than Skyquake – and he still loves racing. Breakdown is often the one attempting to keep him out of danger, not for lack of faith in said skills, but because he's overprotective and as a medic, he worries. I realized about halfway through writing this that they remind me of Jester and Fjord from The Mighty Nein, colors and all. I did not do this on purpose, but you know what, it works. They have a similar dynamic, but are nowhere near the same. Anyway, Knockout thinks battlescars are cool and is always proud to get a new one. Breakdown is a huge softie who you do not want to see get angry. He's that big for a reason. Just because he's a medic doesn't mean he can't kick ass.

I haven't quite figured out who is going to be guardian to who, yet. There are more options than there are in the original universe. Raf and Dreadwing would be a terrible combination for the safety of both of them, though they would be great friends, and I don't think he would get along in that way with Skyquake or Airachnid. Knockout might be the perfect match, because he likes to have fun just as much as Raf, but he's not so reckless, so he can reign Raf in a bit. Also, he can scratch that adrenaline itch by racing through the desert. Giving the youngest, sweetest one to Airachnid just feels right. I think Little Jack would do a lot to help her get over her trauma (this opposite universe is turning back into the original universe in a weird, roundabout way). Miko is the hardest to place, just because her personality is very unique. I'm probably gonna stick her with Starscream, because I think they'll get along the best. She's too chill for Dreadwing and too rebellious for Skyquake. Starscream is a happy medium. The only issue that I see with this is the fact that two out of three of these guardians can only fly, so I'll have to figure out a solution to that. Actually, since M.E.C.H. is on their side in this one, they could probably offer some extra protection there, and Miko is definitely homeschooled. OR, I could make Airachnid a grounder in this version. I'll work something out.

Let me know what ya'll think!

See ya'll!!
