I thought I was a planet?

Venus

Venus ran to his room. This wasn't fair. He tried to get Neptune to stop but he wouldn't. He tried to be nice. He tried.. that had to mean something, right?

No, Venus couldn't think that, Venus was angry, not upset, angry. Venus slammed the door. He stood in the middle of his room, fuming. He was in the right, he tried to get Neptune to stop and he didn't. He didn't say explicitly but it would take a dumb person to not notice.

The bedroom door opened. Standing outside was Helios, or his father. That was ridiculous, Venus didn't need a father, or a caretaker, or anyone to look after him.

"Venus," Helios said.

"What?" Venus snapped back.

"Be polite to your father, you're already in trouble," Helios said, staring at Venus.

"You're not my real father, I don't even have to listen to you," Venus shout back.

Helios gritted his teeth and frowned.

Venus was prepared to get shouted at, besides that all everyone did to him; say one bad thing about Earth, shouted at, tease Mercury, shouted at, leave orbit, shouted at. So it was a surprise when Helios took a deep breath and didn't explode. Instead, he walked over to Venus' bed, sat down and parted the space on the bed next to him.

Venus was cautions and sat at the furthest end of the bed.

Helios looked unsure before talking, "Explain yourself,"

"What?" Venus said, confused.

"Explain your actions," Helios said, more confident and demanding.

"What?" Venus repeated, really confused.

Helios huffed before rephrasing his question, "Why did you shout at Neptune?"

"Because he was being annoying," Venus said, moody.

"But why?" Helios asked.

"Because he tapping the table," Venus reluctantly explained.

"We're finally getting somewhere," Helios muttered before talking to Venus, "Look, I'm not good at this so I'm going to.."

Helios paused and pulled several faces.

"What are you doing?" Venus asked after a few seconds.

"Trying to think of a suitable punishment," Helios explained, "Normally I'd send you back to your orbit but-"

"Punishment? I didn't do anything wrong," Venus shouted back.

"Yes, you did. You shouted at Uranus and scared Neptune," Helios said, firmly, "You know what, stay in your room,"

Helios stormed out.

Venus slumped on the bed.

Being a kid sucked.
