It was a cold rainy Sunday when Riley awoke. She looked around and saw pictures of purple cats. "I remember doing these," she thought, "when Maya was my friend and before the accident. Wait, how do I remember something from before. Oh wait, I don't. Farkle told me about it when I asked him about the purple cats."
Riley suddenly felt disappointed. She thought she remembered but she didn't.
Riley looked around her room, hoping to find something else to help her retrieve her memory. Finally she just gave up. It had been almost 3 months since she was in the coma. Like she was going to remember. Riley texted her mom telling her she was ready to get out of bed. Riley was so sick of the cast, brace and wheelchair. She looked at her leg. It had not be shaved for months. The hair was as long as her eyelashes.
Finally topanga came in. She helped Riley get out of bed and get dressed. Riley hated this part. It was a Saturday; and Riley wanted to stay in her pjs. "We are going to go out to breakfast, what do you want?" Topanga asked.
"Riley thought. "I don't know, I don't know anything," she said. Riley began to cry. Topanga gave her a hug, than Cory walked in. "Auggies in the car. You girls ready?" He asked. Riley nodded.
Topanga and Cory loaded Riley into to car. It was a long process. In fact, that's the first place Riley has been outside of the doctor, and her Christmas trip to Philadelphia.
They decided to go to Bob Evens. When they got there, Riley looked at the menu. "Mom, what do I get here?" Riley asked. Topanga replied, "you really like to custom order chocolate chip pancakes with strawberry sauce and whip cream."
"Thanks," Riley mumbled.
"I am so sick of this," she thought.
