Girl meets herself

it is time

                                                          Six Months Later

                                                Riley's POV

                  Today was my baby shower. Honesty I wasn't excited. I wasn't planning on having children for at least  ten years, and I wanted to be married. I clearly wasn't married. And, 15 year old pregnant girls don't get good looks in the waiting room, or anywhere for that matter. My parents again recently signed me up for an online school, and the only people from school I've seen are Maya, Lucas, and Farkle. Maya and Farkle have only visited a few times. Before I stared to show, they came almost everyday before and after school and we went out, however they are almost like embarrassed to be seen with me. That surprised me, as Maya's mom had a similar situation with her. Only Katy was 17. Lucas has been there the whole time. He promised me he'd never leave me. But I wasn't 100% sure.

                I put on an  oversized shirt and jeans. I walked out to the kitchen were my mom was creating some fruit plate to serve at the shower. "you excited?" she asked me.

"I guess,'' I lied.

"what's wrong?" mom asked.

"I'm just not ready! I wasn't planning on having a child until I was married, I just am not ready to be in charged of a human life, and what about when she's 15, she'll start to realize I'm only twice her age!" I cried.

"Riley, its ok. this is not your fault!" mom started, "and did you say she."

"yeah, you are no longer allowed to play in the gender guessing game."  

"alright. I would've guessed girl  anyway, do you have any name ideas?"

"I like Laura, Laura Danielle. "

"that's really pretty. Does Lucas like it?"

"he said he does, actually." I heard a knock on the door.

"Sydney," I said surprised.  It's not that I don't like her, its just I have to keep my guard up after her brother.

"where do I put this?" she asked holding up a box. I pointed to a small table. Sydney placed the gift on the table just when Lucas walked in.

"hey babe," he said giving me a hug.  15 minutes later, everyone was here. we started with a baby pool, where everyone guessed the gender, well except mom.  We played a few more games, when I suddenly felt a sharp pain.

 "She's coming!" I said taking a breath.

"she cant be!" Maya said, "your only 28  weeks!"

"Tell that to the baby!" I yelled.

"Cory call the hospital!"  my mom yelled.  She held one hand, Lucas took the other.

"there on the way," my dad yelled.

"party is  over!" mom said.

I laid on the floor in pain. Suddenly the ambulance arrived. "third time in a year." I thought. Lucas      rode with me.                                             

                                                              two hours later

Laura had just been born. I only got to see her for 2 seconds. Lucas saw her for longer. he described her as tiny. the doctor said she only weighed 3.2 pounds, and 12 inches tall.  Because of her small size, Laura also had trouble breathing and would be on oxygen for a few months. She would also be in the NICU for a while to get a couple surgery's.  She was doing ok. I, on the other hand, am not. I have some extreme bleeding . I have to get immediate surgery. I'm on my way right now. Not exactly the best day of my life.

                                                       Lucas POV 

I watched Riley make her way to the operating room. tears fell from my eyes. Mr. and Mrs. Matthews sat beside me. Mr. Matthews put his arm around me. "its going to be okay Lucas." he said.

 "Mr. Matthews?" I asked, "this is the first time you've been nice to me."

"Call Me Cory," he said, "except at school. there I still don't like you."

A few hours passed when a doctor came in.

"We lost her," he said as the Matthews and I turned pale, "but only for a second, now she is in a coma."

I along with Cory and Topanga broke down.
