It was Riley's doctors appointment. Riley looked at the room. She could already tell she hated it. The smell, the color, everything. It also reminded her of her surgeries. She had multiple scares on her body. Riley looked at herself. She thought about how she will probably never wear a bikini again. The doctor called her name. Riley wheeled up with her parents following behind. The doctor asked her some questions. Riley answered to the best of get ability.
Than the doctor went to speak to her parents. Riley ease dropped and heard the doctor wanted to make her go to therapy. Riley groaned. She moved her wheelchair back to its old location. Than her parents finally came back in. The doctor left. Riley looked at them.
"What did he say," she asked.
Cory and Topanga told him the doctor wanted her to go to therapy, but they wouldn't make her go if she didn't want to. Riley said she didn't want to go. They didn't blame her. The doctor came back. Cory told him they weren't interested, and said he would pay on the way out. On the bright side, Riley had her leg cast replaced for a boot, and after a few weeks, she would just be on crutches for her knee.
After the appointment the 3 of them went out for lunch. No body talked much. Riley finally spoke up.
"You guys know that you can talk right," Riley asked," just because I can't remember doesn't mean I don't want to learn." Everyone stared.
"I know Riley, I guess it's just been awkward for everyone. It's just hard, like we are trying to help you, but I don't know how," Topanga said.
"This is the first time you haven't know something, isn't it mom," Riley said.
"Wait, how did you know that?" Cory asked.
"I remembered it somehow," she replied. Everyone smiled. Maybe Riley would be back soon.
